Paul McVeigh
I co-founded Scarecrow Theatre Company and the Armada Festival in Belfast. I wrote, directed and produced plays that toured Ireland and were performed at the Edinburgh Festival. The company was nominated for many awards and won an Edinburgh First. I wrote and directed comedy in London for ten years including for Mandy Knight the year she won the Time Out Comedy Award. Also shows that appeared at Soho Theatre, Bloomsbury Theatre, Cochrane Theatre, Jermyn Street Theatre and Upstairs at the Tricycle Theatre. I've had shows at many festivals - Edinburgh, Brighton, Newcastle, Belfast, Limerick, Cork, Sligo, Galway, and Gdansk. I've written two short stories that have been published & won a bursary from Spread The Word. My novel won a bursary from New Writing South and TLC. I've recently become Associate Editor of Word Factory. Currently Writer-In-Residence for Catching Words.
