Paul Schmitt is an Illustrator and Designer who has worked in publishing and graphic design since 2003. He has worked for major universities, Forbes 500 companies and in design agencies across the American Midwest. In 2011, he published his first comic collection “Roaches”. That book went on to be featured in dozens of comic conventions in Indiana and Ohio, stocked in comic shops and remains a very popular webcomic today. With Roaches complete, he went to work in another, edgy direction. Paul Schmitt’s unique combination of writing and illustration skills have produced a dark tale in War Cry - a grim wizards-and-warriors styled comic. In this exciting title, lightning-fast heroes and ancient villains fight in a decaying world . They wage war for total control of their dying kingdom. War Cry is an action and adventure story- a D&D campaign on steroids. Gore and bloody battles abound as sword-fighters fight against undead sorcery., giants and witches. War Cry features brilliant art with an eerie story-telling style. No holds barred with savage battles between giant cannibals and lone warriors, journeys to dark magical prisons and strange mystics all around! This book is directly inspired by the work of Ralph Bakshi and Kentaro Miura. Both of these artists have contributed significantly to modern entertainment through their unique work.
