LARISA AUKON “Portals” 2013
LARISA AUKON It is time for the 2013 solo exhibition for Larisa Aukon at Paul Scott Gallery. “Portals” is the 4th consecutive highly anticipated solo exhibition for Larisa in Scottsdale and continues to be her only solo show in the world. This year, Larisa has again successfully combined her two spheres of influence— landscapes and scenes from her Southwestern home in the U.S. and architectural street scenes from her native Latvia. It is evident she is comfortably within her own unique painting vision now—a life long process of creatively expanding upon her rigid classical education at the National Art Academy of Latvia during the Soviet Period. For the first time, Larisa will be hosting a workshop at Paul Scott Gallery in downtown Bend, Oregon in late September, 2013. This workshop will be followed by a small solo exhibition on Friday, October 4 of her plein-air works painted during her Oregon stay. In short, enjoy and stay tuned!
