From the Desk of the Presiding Bishop
Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, Sr.
Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
Greetings in the Precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Lady L. Janice Brooks and I greet you warmly with the love of Christ! This is truly one of my favorite seasons--the Christmas season. This is the time of year when we who are in the Body of Christ can celebrate Jesus, the greatest gift we have received. Though this Christmas season may look and feel differently than others, still I wonder in the Love of God that He would wrap Himself in flesh and come to this world in the form of Jesus. The Bible tells us, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s love for us was so great that He gave Himself to us and for us. His love finds us in our deepest mess and holds us up in our deepest sorrow. The love of God is amazing, overwhelming, and breathtaking. And it is His amazing, never-ending love that He commands us to show to each other, even if it may be from a distance. That, my beloved brothers and sisters, is the beauty of Christmas. I hope that in the days to come, and in the moments the world celebrates with gifts, we take some time to remember God’s greatest gift to us: His love. His love was embodied in the birth of Jesus, giving us all a model for how we too should embody the love of God to all those we encounter. More than ever, it is critical we embody and share the love of God to one another in a day and time when we may feel very alone and separated. However, God’s love transcends anything and everything, and binds us together in the days when we cannot physically share space with one another. It is our prayer that we all take a few moments each day to love on someone in your life, from your family to strangers. May God’s favor and love surround you! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, from our hearts to yours!

FROM THE EDITOR Evangelist Neechy Dumas
Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for the countless readers and subscribers of The Christian Outlook magazine. This is the season where we have the opportunity to reflect upon the many acts of kindness that we’ve both seen and received, and how far we have come. It’s in those moments that I’ve realized just how much we’ve achieved as a publication, how much our sales and reach have grown…but most of all, how much we’ve been able to positively impact the lives of so many people -- and all of that would not have been possible without the dedication and support of readers like you. Thank You!
I
would also like to thank our Presiding Bishop, Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, Sr., for the continued grace to serve our great organization in this capacity. The Bible enlightens us that elders who have been serving well be considered worthy of double honor (1 Tim. 5:17), and in light of the experiences that we’ve had as a church and as a nation, it is my firm belief that our distinguished Presider continues to serve and lead us well, and has helped us -- as the Body of Christ, to remain focused and steadfast as we seek the face of the Lord during these unprecedented times. This year, we’ve been able to feature many amazing leaders, preachers and teachers from around the world, as we persistently focus on progress. As a publication, we’ve continued to grow and make significant impact to our creativity for the better, and our team is actively gathering together with efforts of being even bigger and stronger in 2021. As a magazine, all of this would not be possible without the team that I affectionately call “The Crew” right by my side -- First Lady Jennifer Slaughter, Evang. Mona Thomas-Green, Eld. Demarcus Williams, Eld. Eric Bowens, Eld. Craig Gilchrist, Dr. Ruth Tyson-Newton, Min. Mary Sanford, Sis. Stacey Monger -- and the newest additions to our team, Sis. Dawne Hill and Min. Gabrielle Louden. These amazing people currently make up the creativity and drive of The Christian Outlook magazine. My heartfelt appreciation and “high-five” goes to all of them. THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
In this last edition of The Christian Outlook for 2020, the Holiday Issue, it is my prayer that you will be encouraged by the tenacity, faith and prayers of Bishop Harry S. and First Lady Mary Grayson; that you’ll be inspired to remain hopeful in challenging times from Bishop Sherman L. Merritt, DD; that you’ll be motivated to pursue your dreams by the inspirational journey of Elder Demarcus Williams, MBA; and finally, that you’ll be captivated by the full roster of our PAW Bishops and leaders on display this holiday season. As we transition into a new year, we are reminded to steadfastly trust in the God that has kept us in 2020…”Because if He did it before…He can do it again!” Thank you all for your continued support and have a wonderful holiday and Merry Christmas! THE QUESTION
Q
Ruth Inez Having all the family gather as we share the meal and begin the Christmas season practicing our Christmas hymns around the organ as Mama played.
Roger Green, Jr. My favorite holiday traditions involve family, food, and football. My family has always been big on spending time with each other for the holidays. My parent’s house has been the scene of the pre-game, the main event, and the after party! The main event would be the actual family meal where my mom, wife, and a heavenly host of helpers would serve a glutinous amount of soul saving food. And, the after party would be when other friends and family would tricken in from gatherings, where the food was less delectable, trying to salvage what was left of their holiday.
What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
Kyra Haymon Circle prayer, being at the table together, saying a bible verse before eating and never having to fight over the last of something because it always went to Dad.
Sharon Reed Memories of Thanksgiving at Grandpa’s with a huge turkey, all the fixings, and watching football with Uncle Ronald.
Alaycia White-Carlsen
Demarcus Williams
For my entire life my holiday tradition was Celebrating my birthday with my grandmother. Our birthdays are one day apart (mine is Dec. 23 and hers is Christmas Eve) and everyone meets at her house in Alabama to celebrate her birthday party. The next day we all go back to her house to meet again for Christmas dinner and to open gifts. This year both she and her husband passed away within a month and a half. We were both scheduled celebrate milestone birthdays (40 for me, 80 for her). Although that season is now over the tradition of coming together will continue to live on through those of us that remain.
My favorite holiday tradition is spending the holidays with my family at Disney World!
Kia Reaves Cooking, eating, spending time with family, and watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel.

Bishop Sherman L. Merritt, D.D.
The Bible has said from the time of John the Baptist that the kingdom has suffered violence. And it has continued to this day. All of us are under attack even more because the devil knows that his time is at hand. Therefore, the Lord knows that many of us have never experienced things like what we are facing today. We would have never thought that our foundation would be shaken and our faith would be tested as it is. Many of us are in doubt about where we will end up and whether we’ll be able to survive. We are unsure of what to do and uncertain about the outcome. And what’s more, we don’t have the answers to settle our situations. What I know about the Lord, however, is that He is not surprised about these hard times and the current conditions. He prepares us before allowing anything to come to pass.

ENGES O
ur problem is that we have failed to take our spirtual life and our relationship with God seriously. In times like these, our relationship with God needs to be the most important thing in our lives. If God is for you, who can be against you? Therefore, we should be examining ourselves. We have fallen into lifelong patterns, gone to sleep at the wrong time, and most of all, we have taken the Lord for granted. God’s intention is to give us knowledge and instruction for things to come. As a warning, we are told, “He that hath ears, let him hear.” We need to listen to what the spirit has to say to the church. The Lord has to remind us of what He has already done in our life. God has given all of us the words of hope and the spirit that changed our lives and also the lives of those around us. He’s given us positive words that are so impactful and power to keep us encouraged in spite of what might happen. From the time of our anointing, we’ve been put under attack, so the Lord has placed His Word down in our spirit and has a designated assignment with intentions and revelations for our purpose. From the time the Lord spoke it into our life, changes began to develop. It changed you and everything around you. It is so empowering that it changed your mind, your life, and whatever direction that you had planned. It changed whatever your aspirations were in this life. God’s promises also show us how impactful His word was in our lives. When God speaks, He doesn’t just speak to you, He also speaks within you, and you are not the same afterward. The change is so positive in your life, that the devil starts to attack even more. At this stage, you must remember that God’s Word can’t be stopped or altered. Remember, it says in Isaiah that His Word cannot return void. It must accomplish its purpose. To further assure us, Isaiah said no weapon formed against you shall be able to prosper. We must remember that our aid comes from God, and that He has promised to be with us. No matter what comes, His promises carry anointing and put you into a place where you can’t be stopped from whatever you are assigned to do. It cannot be stopped but must be manifested. That means that whatever God tells us, has to come to pass. What comes against you cannot be successful; it can only bless you. Now we must remember that God never intended to just bless you with what you want. But, instead, what God has for you is to give Him glory. Jeremiah 29:11 says that He knows the thoughts He has toward you.
Remember: “Think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing has happened unto you.” The more you realize that you’re getting ready to step into a place of promise, things are going to get harder. The closer you come to the end times, the more difficult things are going to be Your faith, your patience, and even your commitment are going to be challenged. The greatest challenge is to try to keep the promises alive. They ought to bring out the best in you and release the power in you. The challenge includes keeping yourself going, not giving up, fighting against negative things, and keeping yourself in a positive mindset. You have to keep yourself alive and encouraged in spite of what others say. Yet, challenges are not something to fear. Whether we want to believe it or not, these are challenging times. Your faith is being tested. Your identity of who you are is being questioned. Your church is being shaken. Your family is under attack. Your past experiences are necessary because they were preparational times for what is happening now. So, when we are exposed to things that we don’t like, God has a purpose for it. Because of these trying times, God knows that there is some weakness in our lives. He knows things that we’ll be facing later. He knows about the circumstances and conditions that we’re going through. In other words, all this is done to see how we’re going to respond. We need to stop criticizing what God is doing because whatever He’s doing is for our good or to serve His purpose. We need to stop our fear because fear and faith can’t work together. Whatever is happening will provide us with greater knowldege and position us for the next assignment. Challenges don’t allow you to be stagnant or complacent, so stop looking to go back to “the norm” because the changes are here to stay. We’re entering into the last days that prophets foresaw. We must remember what our job assignment is and what we can and cannot do. We can’t stop what God has prophesied is to come but our ultimate goal is to save people from the wrath of God.
Remember the challenge. MARCH/APRIL THE CHRISTIAN2020 OUTLOOK

Everyday Preventive Actions Can Help Fight Germs, Like Flu CDC Says “Take 3” Actions to Fight Flu. 1. Take time to get a flu vaccine. 2. Take everyday preventive actions that may slow the spread of germs that cause respiratory (nose, throat, and lungs) illnesses, like flu. 3. If you get sick with flu, take prescription antiviral drugs if your doctor prescribes them. Early treatment is especially important for the elderly, the very young, people with certain chronic health conditions, and pregnant women.
How does flu spread? Flu viruses are thought to spread mainly from person to person through droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze, or talk. Less often, a person might get flu by touching a surface or object that has flu virus on it and then touching his or her own mouth, nose, or possibly eyes. Many other viruses spread these ways too. People infected with flu may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5-7 days after becoming sick. That means you may be able to spread flu to someone else before you know you are sick as well as while you are sick. Young children, those who are severely ill, and those who have severely weakened immune systems may be able to infect others for longer than 5-7 days.
What are everyday preventive actions? • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. • While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them. • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw it in the trash after you use it and wash your hands. • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way. • Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs that can cause respiratory illnesses like flu. • For flu, CDC recommends that you (or your child) stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. The fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine. The stay-at-home guidance for COVID-19 may be different. • In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, local governments or public health departments may recommend additional precautions be taken in your community. Follow those instructions.

MUSIC & LIGHTING
This holiday, while finishing up my 2020 tasks, I like to grab a glass of lemonade-tea, light a candle and turn on my favorite worship project. Currently, HEAVEN’S ECHO by Deerico Loyd (www.instagram.com/deerico_loyd) is on repeat in my office. This project is several tracks of vibrant prayer and worship music, just what I need to start my day! My Red Lava candle is always nearby, giving off sugared citrus vibes. And, somewhere sparkling in the background, giving off notes of balsam firs, spruce, and pine...is a real Christmas tree. Evangelist Neechy Dumas

FRAGRANCES
Christmas Time! To me, there is nothing like the sweet smells of Christmas, and the different fragrances that can fill the air. I LOVE the smell of pine, whether it is a candle, spray, or cone, let it be PINE! And for all you food lovers, pine nuts are tasty in chicken salad, as well as green beans, enjoy! The congregation retained Karl Smith as its pastor. Smith returned the church to the PAW that year and became a PAW Bishop. In St. Louis, Lawson converted members of Central Baptist Church, after speaking there. He then brought Elder Austin Layne (from Mother Susan Gertrude Lightford’s New York church) to pastor what became the Temple Church of Christ. •
Around this time, his dialogue with the Kentucky-based leader of the Christian Faith Band converted Rev. Thomas Cox to Jesus’ name baptism. Cox’s organization subsequently became known as the Church of God Apostolic. SEASON’S GREETINGS
overcame death, hell and the grave. There are so many things to celebrate Jesus for that sometimes we just forget to celebrate first, that he was born. We are not sure the date and time of His birth, so we choose December 25 and that’s the day we celebrate Jesus‘ Birthday.
Merry Christmas!
M
Bishop Mark C. Tolbert
erry Christmas to the members of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and to the Executive Board of Bishops, all Bishops, all Pastors, Ministers and Evangelists. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in the midst of a pandemic, we never think about what a year is going to bring in terms of challenges, trials, tribulations etc. We are mostly focused on blessings and opportunities to override our challenges and obstacles. This year, Covid-19 has literally affected every aspect of our lives. Some have been difficult challenges and some have been menial, but nevertheless all have been life changing and life challenging. The fact remains that despite the pandemic, most people have found very creative ways to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, reveal parties etc. Since it’s Jesus’ Birthday, I think we ought to be creative in our approach to celebrating His birthday, as well. Of course, social distancing and mask wearing is the order of the day right through now.
Now, for your birthdays you have had drive-by parties; you have had parking lot jamborees; you have had so many creative ways to celebrate your birthday; why not get creative in celebrating Jesus’ Birthday! Since we are social distancing and attempting to avoid large crowds, I would offer a couple of suggestions I think Jesus might consider a celebration worthy of His cosigning. How about getting 3 or 4 Birthday cards and put your own wording in them that says this is to you in honor of Jesus’ Birthday. Put a $5 gift card from Quick Trip or five $1 bills, and hand to someone walking down the street or to a panhandler begging by the road side. Or how about picking up some socks and gloves from the Dollar Store, put a hand-written note in a bag with the items, and hand them out to some needy people. I think since this pandemic has put a damper on many things we do normally, we should go all the way this last month of the year and do some things drastically different to celebrate Jesus’ Birthday. After all Jesus did mentioned in Matthew 25: “...when I was naked you didn’t clothe me, hungry you didn’t feed me;” so, it says to me He is concerned about those who are less fortunate in our world and it would make Him happy if you celebrated Him by giving to someone who cannot afford to give something back to you. So as we celebrate this Christmas season of 2020, please remember all the hard times many have suffered this year and make it your gift to Jesus to do something nice for someone you don’t even know this Christmas. The Prayers of Bishop Mark C. Tolbert, Emelda and Britton Tolbert go out to you and your family this Christmas.
Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” We celebrate Jesus because He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We celebrate Jesus because he

CHRIST:
The Most Important Part of Christmas Bishop Michael D. Hannah
T
he holidays are a time for being with friends and family and celebrating the birth of Christ. Sometimes we forget to acknowledge the other religions and what they celebrate. Some religions like Islam do not even celebrate Christmas and then you have others, the Buddhists, who use the holiday to practice their religion of spreading peace and goodwill. In no particular order, I would like to demonstrate a little culture about the ways Christmas is celebrated or is not celebrated throughout five different religions. Christianity During the Christmas season, Christians celebrate Christmas in numerous ways. Families and churches from all around the world set up a nativity scene or a mini replica of the birthplace of Jesus Christ. The scene is composed of the baby Jesus, the virgin mother Mary, the father Joseph, three wisemen, and sometimes some animals that would belong in a stable. Churches that practice Christianity will perform Christmas plays that describe the night of the birth of baby Jesus in a manger. Catholic churches will have a midnight mass or the night of Christmas day to Celebrate Jesus’s birth. In the month of December, aside from just these festivities, people sing traditional Christmas carols, buy Christmas trees, and place wrapped presents under the tree to exchange at a Christmas party or on Christmas morning. Islam The Muslim community has two celebrations that they conduct within a year and Christmas is not one of those holidays. Along with Christmas being the celebration to memorialize the birth of Jesus, Muslims do believe in Jesus but do not believe He is a God or the son of God. According to the Islamic religion, Jesus’s birth was either in March or September based on the season indications in the Bible. Another viewpoint of the Christmas holiday is that Christmas is really just a new proposed pagan celebration, which is not supported by the Islamic religion Hinduism Hindus in America, for a while until the population of Hindus increased, celebrated Christmas to adjust into American culture. Even with population growth, some Hindus participated in festivities of gift giving and parties. Aside from how Hindus celebrate in America, the Hindus in India do celebrate in December with a five-day holiday called Pancha Ganapati. The celebration begins on December 21 to celebrate the elephant-headed lord of Culture and new beginnings. Some festivities the Hindus partake in are outings, picnics, gift giving, feast, decorating their homes with pine bowls or Durva grass, and putting up lights and ornaments. The major portion of the celebration is putting up a statue of Ganesha in the home and dressing the statue for each day of the celebration in colors of yellow, blue, red, green, and orange.
THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
Buddhism Christmas is a time of gift giving and practicing peace and goodwill toward men. Buddhists practice their religion and see their similarities between Buddhism and Christianity. Buddhists celebrate the holidays by hanging up Christmas decorations in their temples, sending cards to love ones, holding late night visuals, and occasionally listen to Christmas music . Judaism The Jewish do not celebrate Christmas, but instead celebrate a holiday known as Hanukkah. Hanukkah is an eight-day festival of lights that is celebrated by a nightly menorah, special prayers, and food. Hanukkah memorializes the small army of Jews that defeated the mighty Greek army in the second century BC. The Jews reclaimed the holy temple in Jerusalem and as a symbol of victory in the temple, the menorah was to be lit; however, only a single cruse of olive oil was left. Even with a little bit of olive oil, the menorah was still lit and stayed lit for eight days. To remember this wonder, Hanukkah was created. Christmas is not all that different across the religions who do celebrate the holiday. Finally, I know that there is much theological kerfuffle about when Jesus was born. There is also great debate as to the pagan origin of Christmas. Some debate whether we should have Christmas trees in our homes or not. Some remind us that the Bible never said that there were three wisemen that we often sing about. They were some who contend Jesus was born in the spring, others contend He was born in the fall. I contend that the real meaning of Christmas is Christ. In the book of Joshua chapter 24 verse 15 it says: “And if it seems evil unto you to serve the lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites in who’s land ye dwell: But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. “And His Name Is JESUS CHRIST” Merry Christmas-Mass!

YOUTH CORNER
DIG UP
YOUR
TALENT
By Elder Demarcus Williams, MBA
“But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.” - Matthew 25:18 KJV
I
t was the start of a new year in 2016 that I finally made the decision to go back to school to pursue my Master’s Degree. By this time, I had already been out of college for 13 years and found myself at a crossroads in my career, business and ministry. I was beginning to feel that things in my life were growing stagnant and that it was time to reposition myself to take advantage of more opportunities and realize my full potential in all areas of my life. Up to that point I had dedicated most of my time to serving at my church, largely out of my love for God and my leaders. I also however realized that I was capable of achieving more in life but I felt an obligation to give my time and energy to ministry in an effort to pay God back for the life I have lived prior to rededicating it back to Him in 2006. As a result, I downplayed myself, my gifts, my business and buried the talents that God entrusted me to cultivate into relationships and in the support of others. The fear of my own success created a sense of complacency that later led to feelings of inadequacy and failure. I intentionally pushed people and opportunities away for fear that if they saw me for who I really was they would reject me. By the end of 2015 the youth and young adult ministry hosted a vision board party where we would create a collage of our goals for the next 5 years. I spent hours putting mine together but by the time I finished my board, it was filled with achievements ranging from health to relationships to finishing graduate school. It was at that point that I began to see my dreams as a reality.

THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
In January of 2016 I swallowed my fears and was accepted into Grand Canyon University’s MBA program. For the first time in years I was finally taking action to do something for me. For each class that I completed, my confidence grew. While there were many challenges managing school, a full-time job, my business, church and Council duties, I was committed to making it work. In 2018 as I was getting closer to finishing, I reached a major roadblock on my path to completion. Within a span of 2 months I experienced the passing of my church’s First Lady, Lady Leatha Wright, a breakup and the passing of one of my aunts. For the next year I began burying my time, talents and resources into various activities to keep myself occupied which ultimately came at the expense of finishing my degree on time. I began to drop courses so much that I was temporarily suspended from my program and had to reapply for reinstatement. Upon being reinstated in 2020 I was no longer allowed to drop anymore courses and I had to dig deep to ensure that I did everything it took to finish my degree. As COVID-19 began to emerge I was challenged yet again. The increase in work responsibilities, business opportunities and my desire to still give my church and my Council my all made it almost impossible to keep up with school. By the grace of God my professor agreed to allow me to make up all of my assignments in order to finish my class. It was at that point that I realized that I could not bury my talents any longer. I came to understand at that moment that when you decide to pursue the dreams that God gives you, disappointing others is unavoidable.

“
WRITE
YOUR VISION, MAKE IT PLAIN AND
BELIEVE
WHAT GOD HAS SHOWN YOU TO BE TRUE ABOUT YOU.
”
Going into the last class of my program I had to get an A in order to graduate. I spoke with my supervisor at work, along with my church leaders and my Council youth staff to discuss my schedule and the delegation of tasks to give me the time to focus on finishing my degree. Sometimes it’s not that others around you don’t support your dreams, they just can’t advocate for things that you’re not willing to fight for yourself. It was when I finally articulated what I needed in order to succeed that I received the support necessary to graduate. It was when I was no longer afraid of my own success that I was finally able to dig up my talents that were buried in the support of others. I was finally able to give a positive account to God for the talents He had blessed me to produce with. In July 2020 I finished my final course with an A and on Oct 17, 2020 I crossed Grand Canyon University’s virtual commencement stage. I give God the glory for giving me the strength to push beyond my insecurities to fulfill the vision that He gave me. To anyone who is struggling to determine whether it’s time for you to dig up the talents that you’ve buried I want to encourage you to write your vision, make it plain and believe what God has shown you to be true about you. It shall come to pass but first you must put your faith to work by digging up your talent!

for

KINGDOM CITIZENS By Dr. Brandon Jones
n the 12th chapter of Mark’s Gospel, verse 17, Jesus answers the Pharisees’ and Herodians’ trick question with the following statement “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s…”. With this answer, Jesus makes an obvious distinction between the economies of the World’s civil governments and His own Kingdom economy. Of course, God’s Kingdom supersedes any form of human government, but as people with triple citizenship (i.e., Heavenly, Earthly and National), how should we operate as Kingdom citizens when it comes to civil governance? Following are considerations for believers to ensure that God’s Kingdom agenda and principles reign supreme in their lives even while being involved in civil affairs. Taxes offer responsibility to the tax payer. One natural takeaway from the phrase “render unto Caesar” could simply be to pay your taxes. And even though the Roman Empire was the governing body
36
THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
at the time of Jesus’s words, paying taxes is currently something quite familiar to believers here in the U.S. and other parts of the world. As tax paying citizens in a democratic republic, we have the right AND the responsibility to hold elected officials accountable to the proper use of tax dollars. In other words, tax-paying Kingdom citizens have a voice in the development of policies and we should make that voice heard. One way to amplify our voices is through voting, of which over 160,000,000 U.S. citizens did on November 3, 2020, many of those voters being Kingdom citizens as well. And no matter if your candidate won or lost, Kingdom citizens should not treat the Presidential election like some of us have treated the Holy Ghost over the decades. That being, a focus on receiving the Holy Ghost and then not much else after that. Receiving the Holy Ghost is not the finish line, but the starting block for a whole new way of life. That’s Kingdom! Now, we
“GOD’S PROMISE TO PERFORM”

should apply the results of the Presidential election the same way. Electing a new Administration is the start of work, not the end of the process. We need to vote up and down in every election there is STATE and LOCAL. If your town is holding an election for the official county quilt maker—you need to vote! Vote in every—single— election. Keep that same pre-November 3rd energy at all times! Ambassadors operate with diplomacy, not division. The role of an Embassy located in a foreign country is to assist the citizens of the Nation it represents while those citizens are in that foreign country. Embassy diplomats (ambassadors) represent the leadership of the home Nation and ensure the interests of their home Nation are supported in the foreign land. Through diplomacy (i.e., developing and managing relationships) an ambassador can eventually influence the foreign Nation to support the interests of the home Nation. Jesus closed his argument with [render] “to God the things that are God’s.” One thing that we know for sure is that the Church is God’s and it serves as the Kingdom embassy here on Earth. And since Kingdom citizens are members of the Church (embassy) this makes them Kingdom ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). And as Divine ambassadors, we are encouraged to serve (minister) to others in this World with a mindset of reconciliation not division nor confusion. And we can do the work without fear or embarrassment because we recognize that we have the full power and authority of God’s Kingdom at our disposal—as long as we are in alignment with God’s will during our diplomatic missions! But rest assured, there is a dark embassy with its own ambassadors who represent their leader and his simple but fateful agenda—steal, kill and destroy. Listen saints, the old adage says that “the devil is in the details” and that’s okay because God, with unabashed omnipresence and omniscience, is aware of every nook and cranny of the devil’s ideas and intents. God knows! Therefore, Kingdom ambassadors must be “in” the details, too. And that includes political details because that’s where the governing decisions are being devised, honed and implemented. When Kingdom ambassadors are involved in political decision making (from school board president to U.S. President: 1) wisdom will be the principle thing in the process, 2) the understanding of
Dr. Brandon Jones speaking at the The American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting.
muddled details will increase which will expose the plots and deeds of the enemy, 3) knowledge that was once hidden can be shared with those that need it most, and 3) God’s will, will be done in the Earth as it is in Heaven. Regardless of your political stripe, just be sure you have God’s “whole” perspective about an issue and not some political party’s viewpoint. Be open to dialogue and wise counsel. Stay humble. Keep your theology pointed toward “true”. And most of all, recognize it is a privilege to be a Kingdom citizen and still have the option to “render unto Caesar”. If Kingdom citizens can come together under the true Kingdom agenda and “render unto God” as a complete Body, Caesar won’t even matter anymore.
Dr. Brandon Jones serves as the DC, Delaware, and Maryland State Sunday School Superintendent under the leadership of Bishop Earnest L. Pendleton, Diocesan and is a member of Faith Hope and Charity Ministries, Lanham, MD where his Pastor is District Elder George Twilley, Sr.

ADOPT-A-SOUL
Today’s Prayer Heavenly Father,
Evangelist Johnetta Tate
Adopt-A-Soul
We come boldly to Your throne today. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. We thank You for the precious blood of Jesus Christ. For this is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to be with all those who are incarcerated today, for all those who are living out sentences, and all those who are awaiting trial and bail. Lord, let Your spirit of peace rest upon them all. Please help them to know that You are sovereign over all things and even in the darkest hours, You are their true source of light which is found in Jesus Christ. Knowing You are the way, the truth and the life. Those who are believers in Jesus Christ, we know they are being justified by faith, and we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, please help them to know that they are no longer condemned, because there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.
Evangelist Green, Praise the Lord! “I want to thank you for writing me these past years, for sending me cards and the The Christian Outlook magazine. I cannot express in words how much that has meant to me. I praise God for sending you into my life and for the friend that you have been. I pray that the Lord rewards you tremendously for being there for me. You have been kind and a blessing and I pray that the Lord will give you a return for what you have done for me, PRESSED DOWN, SHAKEN TOGETHER AND RUNNING OVER. I will end up telling many people how much your Ministry meant to me during this arduous and very trying period of my life. I went for many years without a visit, nothing from anyone...and you writing to me and sharing has meant the world. I will never forget that.” Brother J. Lara
Lord, even though they may be in prison, behind bars they are new creatures in Christ, and sons and daughters of the Most High God if they would only believe. Lord, give them Your grace and glory today, Dear Evangelist Green, now and forever. Lord, You get the glory, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
Today’s Scripture Psalm 65:1-4 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. 1
O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. 2
Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, Thou shalt purge them away. 3
Blessed is the man whom Thou choosest, and causest to approach unto Thee, that he may dwell in Thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, even of Thy holy temple. 4

THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
“I cried when you wrote me back I was so surprised. ...my father Elder Pettway is alive and well I can’t wait to tell him about this.” Brother M. Pettway Dear Evangelist Green, “I want to say, that I am extremely thankful for the availibility of The Christian Outlook magazine. It is, and continues to be, a constant encouragement to myself and the many other inmates that I give it to which also serves to encourage them as well. I was really blessed by the article written by Bishop Noel Jones in the July/August 2020 edition of The Christian Outlook entitled, “Preaching: Giftedness and Character.” As an inmate and a licensed and ordained Pastor, there are many people in the “Church,” who feel that because I am incarcerated and my character is “tarnished,” that I am not qualified to preach and teach God’s Word, muchless carry the title and calling of a Pastor. But, I am so glad, that it is God who calls and qualifies us, for use in His Kingdom! Thank you for printing that article!” Pastor A. L. Black Jr.

Prisoners of the
Kingdom By Dr. Elect Star, DMin, LMHC
I
n my book, “Golden Nuggets: A Prophetic Teaching Series,” I discuss the life of a Prisoner of the Kingdom. Today, I would like to focus on two types of prisoners: pandemic prisoners and incarcerated prisoners. 1. During this pandemic, you may feel confined and restricted and a prisoner in your own home due to COVID-19. You may experience symptoms of anxiety and depression and feel fearful, nervous, stressed, isolated, lonely, disoriented, worried, irritable, frustrated, angry and helpless. 2. As an inmate, in prison, you may also experience anxiety and depression. You may experience feelings of fear, worry, nervousness, anger, frustration, loneliness, tension, abandonment, helplessness and hopelessness. Whether you are confined in your home or in prison, you can experience a supernatural transformation during your pandemic and incarceration. My friend, our Heavenly Father is not restricted by a pandemic or one’s incarceration. Nor is he limited to time and space. He can do mighty things in your life and He can accomplish things in you that you never dreamed possible. Friend, don’t focus on what you don’t have and can’t do at this time, but rather focus on what you do have and what you can do. You have life, breath, a voice, and a friend named, Jesus, who loves you with an everlasting love! And you can call on His name and receive power and strength directly from heaven. THE CHRISTIAN OUTLOOK
Although you may feel unplugged from the world, from friends, family, and activities, you are not unplugged from heaven. I encourage you to use this time of isolation wisely and to connect with Jesus and let His power flow through you and transform your mind, body and soul. A caterpillar has to be still in order for transformation to occur. I invite you to BE STILL in the presence of the Lord, and let the Lord do a mighty work in you today! With God all things are possible, but without Him, nothing is possible!

BOOK REVIEW
. . . e f Li
can dish out some hard knocks, and no one is exempt. “Why Am I Here” is such a universal question, and our featured book entitled “Why Are You Here” with its questions and answers concerning life are shared by our author Evangelist Bass, as she went through life asking the same question we all seem to ask at one time or the other. Her personal testimony reveals time in her life where she had to face major problems, living her life for years before she was confronted with questions that pondered her mind. These questions revealed to her that she had begun the path of life without God. As we begin our journey of life at birth, we usually find ourselves living in a state of denial, resisting the truth and frequently fighting our thoughts and facing the many battles in our mind. Our choices can lead us down crooked paths, points of destruction, but soon we are made to realize that we must face reality. Looking in the mirror to a rude awakening, and a fork in the road where do I go from here? Searching and seeking only to realize one’s origin, and that is from God. The search is finally over and the journey of life can end with VICTORY! Dear reader, if you are struggling with life and all its challange, this book is for you.
