ELCOME TO PAWS WILD NIGHT

Dear PAWS Supporter,

Welcome to PAWS Wild Night! We are honored to share this special evening with you, in person for the first time since 2019. You are essential to our mission to serve cats, dogs, and wild animals. So, here’s to you: the long-time supporters of PAWS, those who recently joined us, and those of you learning about PAWS for the first time. We need and appreciate you.

Tonight, we celebrate the 55th anniversary of PAWS Wild Night. This beloved event made it possible for PAWS to provide vital services to the community for more than five decades.

PAWS was founded in 1967 when determined community members came together to respond to the need for an animal shelter. PAWS was on the forefront in mandating county-wide spaying and neutering of shelter animals to reduce euthanasia rates. When people started bringing injured wildlife, PAWS built a wildlife rehabilitation center, again responding to the needs of our community. Since our founding, we offered education programs to inspire compassionate action on behalf of animals.

The world continues to change around us, but we know that one thing remains constant: the animals need the support of people like you. Thank you for being part of this special event. Your generosity tonight makes a life-saving difference to thousands of cats, dogs, and wild animals.

With gratitude,

Item #2 Scenic Flight for 2 in a Diamond TwinStar over new PAWS Wildlife Center Campus

This is a one-of-a-kind exclusive experience for aviation (and PAWS) enthusiasts! Embark on an hour-long scenic flight in a high-tech equipped Diamond DA42 TwinStar multi-engine plane with experienced pilot, Scott Sutton. Taxi from the pilot’s personal residence located in Lake Stevens, WA within Frontier Air Park and then take off from a 3,800 ft paved runway. Enjoy the sights and beautiful scenic views of the Cascades and surrounding Puget Sound. And the best part? Finish the scenic flight by flying over the future PAWS Wildlife Center in Snohomish and get an eagle’s view of this new and impressive campus!

About the pilot: Scott Sutton is an experienced pilot with more than 35 years experience and 2,000 hours of flying time. He has donated his time and plane to help PAWS with several unique wildlife releases, such as a Laysan albatross that needed an expedited transport to the Washington Coast so that the Coast Guard could finish the trip and take the albatross far out to sea for a proper release. Scott is an avid supporter of PAWS and is quick to lend a hand, whether it’s piloting our PAWS Naturalist to distant locations for a release or coordinating other logistics within the flying community. To date, Scott has helped in the release of a Laysan albatross, a yellow-bellied marmot, a flicker woodpecker and a stowaway grey fox, that needed to get back to Nevada.

Value: $1,000

Donor: Scott Sutton

Restrictions: Weather permitting. Passengers must be at least 12 years of age; those between the ages of 12 and 17 must have a legal guardian present at the time of flight. Auction winner will work with the pilot directly on a mutually agreed upon date and time. Prime flying season here in the Pacific NW is between May 1st and October 15th. Please note the following:

• The pilot may need to reschedule the flight due to weather conditions or other circumstances that would compromise the safety of the flight.

• There is a weight restriction of 210 lbs. for the front seat passenger and 135 lbs. for the optional rear seat passenger. The official expiration date is 11/01/2023, [which could be extended solely at the discretion of the pilot, and he will do so if possible].
