Farah began her journalism career in 2006 as a magazine writer and editor, but her passion for storytelling started long before that. As a child, she interviewed her family using a toy microphone, dreaming of becoming a reporter. Born and raised outside of Chicago, she grew up immersed in news and athletics, running competitively throughout high school and college. Although a cancer diagnosis changed her athletic career, Farah is now cancer-free and cherishes every opportunity to stay active.
After earning her master’s degree from Syracuse University, Farah helped launch Syracuse Woman Magazine before transitioning to broadcast journalism. She is now a weekend anchor and reporter at KING 5 in Seattle. Farah and her husband share their home with three dogs—two of whom are rescues. Helping animals find their forever homes is a mission close to her heart, and she is proud to support organizations like PAWS.

Giving Back to PNW Natural Habitats
This year, PAWS Wild Night is supporting the natural habitats that our region’s wildlife calls home. In partnership with the Snohomish Conservation District, we’ve replaced traditional floral arrangements with native potted plants that will be returned to local gardens and natural spaces to support wildlife and restore ecosystems.
Where These Plants Will Go:
Rain Garden in Lynnwood: Many of the plants you see tonight will be installed in a rain garden in Lynnwood this fall in partnership with the Snohomish Conservation District and the City of Lynnwood. Rain gardens filter stormwater runoff and help keep our waterways and communities healthy. Learn more: snohomishcd.org/rain-gardens
Orca Recovery Day at Skykomish River Park: The trees will be planted during Orca Recovery Day in Monroe, WA, to improve our community and wildlife habitats. Join the Snohomish Conservation District and the City of Monroe for this family-friendly event on Saturday, October 19. Learn More: snocd.org/ord2024
ELCOME TO PAWS WILD NIGHT
Dear PAWS Supporter,
Welcome to Wild Night! We are so glad to have you join us as we celebrate the expert care that PAWS provides for animals. Whether you are a longtime supporter or new to our mission, your support makes a difference.
Since 1967, PAWS has been a beacon of hope for animals of all kinds, offering safe shelter, rehabilitation, and adoption services for over 150,000 dogs and cats and caring for more than 160,000 wild animals from over two hundred species. From abandoned senior dogs to injured eagles and owls, we are here to provide the help they need.
Just as individual animals play a vital role in their species’ survival, you, our supporters, are the lifeblood of PAWS. Your generosity enables us to continue our lifesaving work and make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of animals who need our help.
Thank you for being here tonight. Your presence and gifts of support enable our ability to help those who are vulnerable and voiceless. Let’s celebrate the incredible achievements we have accomplished together and look forward to a future filled with compassion and kindness for all of earth’s creatures.
With gratitude,

General Auction Rules
Each participating bidder agrees to these auction rules:
• Upon entry, each guest will be given a bid number.
• Top bidders have two options for purchasing auction items:
Pre-pay:
Guests may pre-pay for their purchases, auction winnings, and donations by participating in Auctionpay. By providing a credit card at Registration, guests authorize PAWS to charge their purchases and donations to that credit card. An itemized receipt can be provided upon request.
Pay at the end:
Guests who elect not to participate in Auctionpay must pay for all purchases, auction items, and donations at the end of the event by going to Guest Check-Out.
• All purchases are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items unless otherwise noted.
• Bidder can pay by currency, check, credit card or other alternative payments that have been arranged. Please make checks payable to PAWS. PAWS is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and payments are tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent provided by law. Normally, the amount paid above the fair market value of an item is deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor for appropriate deductibility.
• PAWS is grateful to all of our donors and bidders who submit matching gift requests to their companies. All Fund-A-Need donations, as well as any amount paid above the fair market value of an auction item, are considered charitable donations and can be matched by participating companies. All auction items and donations must be paid in full by the bidder; amounts matched by your company cannot be accepted as payment toward your auction purchases.
• Please note any restrictions, limitations, sizes and expiration dates before making a bid. PAWS has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but all items are offered “as is, where is.” PAWS neither warranties nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness,
authorship, provenance or condition of the items.
• Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. Tickets in travel packages are for coach class unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for cancelled tickets and/or accommodations.
• Unless otherwise noted, all goods and services must be claimed and used within one year of the auction date.
• PAWS reserves the right to add or withdraw, without notice, items to or from the auction.
• Acknowledgement by the auctioneer of the top bid is a legal contract to purchase that item.
• No statement made in these Auction Rules or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty for tax purposes or fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless otherwise noted.
• Each person issued a bid number (bidder) assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising from PAWS, its elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
Silent Auction Rules
• To bid in the Silent Auction, write your bid number on the bid form located in front of the item on the table. You may bid by writing your bid number on the form opposite the amount you wish to bid.
• You do not have to take the next available bid amount but may skip ahead on the form to find the amount you wish to bid. The next bidder must bid a higher amount than yours to be successful.
• To guarantee that you are the successful bidder on an item, write your bid number opposite of the amount labeled Buy-ItNow. Once you write your bid number on the Buy-It-Now line, the bidding on that item is concluded.
• You may bid on any item in the Silent Auction until the section is closed. An auction official will circle the top bid number and amount. You can determine whether you are the successful purchaser by looking at a copy of the Silent Auction bid form that is left on the auction table after the section is closed.
• Designation of the top bid is a legal contract to purchase that item.
Live Auction Rules
• To bid in the Live Auction, hold your bid card up high with the number toward the auctioneer. The auctioneer acknowledges your bid by stating your bid number.
• A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
