This creative program mentions musically more than 50 animals – Noah’s Ark to turtle doves are named in a variety of styles. The program includes choral masterpieces of the Baroque and Renaissance periods and a medley of novelty songs including How Much is that Doggie in the Window? and Puff the Magic Dragon.
The New Ark Chorale is presenting this concert in partnership with PAWS for People. Look for a demonstration of therapy dogs at intermission and at the reception after the concert. PAWS is a non-profit pet therapy organization that recruits, trains, certifies, and places therapy teams in over 110 sites in DE, MD, PA, and NJ. The real heart of the organization is the close to 275 therapy teams who share the love and companionship of their pets, providing a deep and healing connection for those in need.
