Payam M Nia earned his PhD from Northeastern University in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. Payam Nia is adept at upgrading and migrating business network systems, analyzing and resolving technical issues, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
Payam Nia maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed safely. Payam M Nia manages workload and prioritization of assigned projects according to the direct manager's input.
Payam Nia oversees the interaction between complex subsystems and their related calibrations to optimize system performance and robustness. Payam M Nia has excellent problem-solving and analytical ability with a pragmatic, hands-on attitude. He has excellent negotiating skills and the ability to work with contractors.
Payam M Nia designed and programmed automatic qualification and diagnostic testing within MATLAB. Payam Nia implemented disturbance detection algorithms, vibration measurement and analysis tools for multiple dynamic stages to fine-tune and calibrate the controller.
Payam M Nia has supervised undergraduate students on dynamic systems analysis and linear systems control design methods. He conducted simulation, modelling and experiments to design stable controllers for motors in teleoperation with multiple networks and sensor delays.
Payam M Nia has developed his skills in various programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB, and C++ and numerous other tools, including Visual Studio, Adobe Acrobat, PyQt, Tkinter, and Threading.
