Payam Nia Mechatronics Architect of FILM Products at KLA



Payam Nia, a dedicated Ph.D mechanical engineer is currently working as a mechatronics architect at KLA. He received his Ph.D under the title "ControlParameter-Space Classification for DelayIndependent Stability of Linear Time-Invariant Time-Delay Systems” from Northeastern University.


Payam Nia’s area of expertise and interest are complex dynamics, robotics, and controls in designing products. Others include control algorithm design and motion and vibration control.


Payam M Nia has published several publications on notable conferences as well as journals; On Controller Design for Delay-independent Stability of Linear Timeinvariant Systems with Multiple Delays, and Controller design for delay-independent stability of linear timeinvariant vibration systems with multiple delays.


With an experience of more than 10 years in linear and non-linear systems modeling, multi-body dynamics analysis, and sensor fusion. Moreover, Payam Nia has experience and skills on other technical areas as well: Signal processing, input shaping, UI design using Python and MATLAB.


Payam Nia has been an all-rounder who achieved many honors and rewards i.e. Alfred J. Ferretti Graduate Award Recipient and Stipend Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA). Not only is he professionally skilled, Payam M Nia also knows how to cook, play guitar and volleyball.
