These postcards were printed to inform the public attending Artbash about the presence of UF’s Digital Arts Media Network through the use of vibrant colors, straightforward layout, and playful interaction. The balance of geometric and humanist typefaces, combined with a red and green color scheme, resulted in an inviting composition.

This poster series serves to draw a parallel between the Fortune 500 companies’ and historical governments’ presence within society. Given a 40s-era propaganda aesthetic, the posters comment on the aggressive marketing strategies of big businesses and their influence and effects on the general public.

Memory and experience is essentially build-up, unable to be entirely removed from the mind. These works set to illustrate how memories, familiar objects, and locations are all intertwined, perceived, and processed in order to create current amplified experiences. The five canvas not only allude to the fives senses, but also the subcategories of the brain.

This piece is marketed as a satire on the business subculture, commenting on various publications which serve to provide tips on how to invest and make fast money. Utilizing 50’s retro-style aesthetics, Econo-Business and You! presents information extracted from the McSweeney’s website in order to provide unreliable advice in a bold, professional manner.

I had set out to create typography out of an organic material that could easily be shaped and molded. Rice, which can be easily cultivated, became not only the material, but the overall form and concept behind the typeface; Like rice, the final typeface has the potential to transform and be utilized in various ways.

This 21-piece drawing collection series exploits the human mind’s ability to fill in missing pieces of familiar objects. Taking a piece of paper to mask a yellow object, I recreated the missing half of each object using a pen and tablet. This series also establishes my knowledge and application of value, color, and proportion through drawing techniques.

This poster serves to inform the public about a free three-day lecture conducted by Saul Bass and Paul Rand at the Museum of Modern Art. Combining the vibrant colors and handcrafted style of Saul Bass with the gridded organization and normative elements of Paul Rand, the poster’s composition results in a visual expression which hooks the viewer in.

This interactive Flash game comments on job opportunities and how one climbs up the corporate ladder. Within the game, the player collects a coin, which must be given at the door to proceed to the next level. However, each level is exactly the same, creating a loop. The only way to end the sequence is to quit the game.

Care Package simultaneously explores social misconceptions of lesser countries and the social relationship between the American government and third-world countries overseas. Utilizing a combination of empty burlap rice bags, soil, and design elements, the piece creates a sense of disconnection and callousness in regards to the beneficiary.

Presented as a documentary, this work illustrates the power of fantasy, the concept of procrastination, and the drive to transition the man-made into a natural form. Within the video, clusters of gummy worms devour a homework assignment before quietly slithering back into their packaging as a commentator provides a parallel speech about man.

This piece is designed to be an easy-to-use book or guide for graphic designers on the go. Comprised of 48 pages, the book uses a color-coded system and a simple template to convey what is considered to be good, bad, and ugly typography. The book also establishes the criteria of good, bad, and ugly design at the beginning of the book in order to regulate would otherwise be an opinionated book.
