SPICY PINEAPPLE MARGARITA

With Cinco de Mayo around the corner, it’s an idyllic time to get acquainted with arguably the best new mid-priced tequila to hit Florida shelves ($50 for a 750ml bottle). Say hello to Lalo , a mild blanco tequila that stems from top-quality, handpicked agave from the Jalisco highlands and backed by Eduardo “Lalo” González, grandson of the father of premium tequila, Don Julio. While pure and dynamic enough to enjoy as a sipping tequila, Lalo also works well in cocktail recipes, such as the one featured here. (lalospirits.com) —P.R.
