Ingrid Aielli is responsible for business operations and marketing at Aielli Group, which she co-owns with her chef-husband, Fabrizio. She’s the force behind its growing corporate brand and philanthropic involvement in the community. Aielli was named one of Naples’ “First Ladies of Food” in 2021 by Naples Illustrated and was inducted into the 2022 Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Business Hall of Fame. Aielli Group supports several charities, including Youth Haven, Cancer Alliance of Naples, and the Women’s Foundation of Collier County.
HOMETOWN: Bratislava, Slovakia WHY I CHOSE THIS FIELD: Being married to a chef and considering my communication skills, it just made sense to be responsible for the front of the house as well as for community engagements. FUNNIEST WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE: We had a bird in the o ce of our fi rst restaurant, Theatro Goldoni, in Washington DC. That bird became famous for telling President Bill Clinton (who happened to use our o ce during his visit) to “pick up the phone” when it was ringing. Since 1970, Scott Lutgert has been a resident and real estate developer in Naples. He developed Park Shore and its 17 beachfront high-rises, six high-rises in Bonita Bay, and two golf course communities: The Estuary at Grey Oaks in Naples and Linville Ridge in North Carolina. His foresight shaped the local landscape with The Village on Venetian Bay, The Promenade at Bonita Bay, and Mercato. At the Lutgert Companies, he has led Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, Premier Commercial, Lutgert Construction, and Lutgert Title.

Sukie Honeycutt came to Naples in 1979 and was hired as a manager for The Chef’s Garden and Tru es—an iconic restaurant in the space Ridgway Bar & Grill occupies. In 1981, she became a partner and director of operations. She currently owns, along with Tony Ridgway, Ridgway Grill, Bayside Seafood Grill, Tony’s O Third, and Sukie’s Wine Shop. Honeycutt has created an impeccable selection of wines at all four venues. She also oversees front-of-the-house operations and renovations.

Celebration Park has become a landmark that draws visitors to the Bayshore neighborhood. She hopes to elevate the local culinary landscape while connecting her three passions: people, wine, and food.

Dale Mullin served three years in the U.S. Army and completed one tour in Vietnam. He moved to Naples in 1991 and has served as president of his homeowner association, case manager at St. Matthew’s House, and member of Collier County’s Mental Health and Addiction Ad Hoc Advisory Committee. In 2014, Mullin started the nonprofi t Wounded Warriors of Collier County to provide veterans and their families with housing, education, and mental health assistance.

Reinhold Schmieding founded Arthrex in 1981 with his own savings and a drafting table in an apartment in the Olympic Village in Munich, Germany. The Naples-headquartered Arthrex—with the mission of “helping surgeons treat their patients better”—has become a global leader in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive orthopedics. Arthrex develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year. In recent years, it has expanded its campus to include the Arthrex One Conference Center and Innovation Hotel.

As a 25-year-old college student, Michelle L. Reed-Spitzer cleaned houses to earn extra money when she was assigned, in a 1995 Hodges University class, to write a business plan. She parlayed that assignment into the ninth MaidPro franchise in 1999 and worked closely with her franchisor to establish best practices that are now used in 150-plus franchise locations in the U.S. and Canada. MaidPro of Southwest Florida serves six counties and has been a number-one revenue producer for a decade. Reed-Spitzer recently launched two divisions offering six additional services.

Mitchell Siegel established Cocoon Gallery more than 20 years ago in Greenwich, Connecticut, and is the creative brain behind the brand. He moved his showroom to Naples in 2020, followed by the move of his Greenwich workshop. Siegel travels the world, primarily to Southeast Asia, to source the raw materials for Cocoon’s one-of-a kind furnishings and accents. He is hands-on, from the showroom to the woodshop, where artisans craft live-edge tables and mirrors, root sculptures, wall art, and mineral-based decor.

The company now boasts more than 700 personnel and 21 o ces in Southwest Florida, with a written sales volume in 2022 of $5.8 billion. As CEO for the past 20-plus years, Wood has led the company into the modern, high-tech era.

He was recognized as Business Observer’s 2019 “Icons of Business” and the 2019 Naples Daily News “Outstanding Citizen of the Year.”
