TRAVEL JOURNAL AMAZING Atlanta

Designer and tastemaker Danielle Rollins lived in Atlanta from 1995 until earlier this year, when she sold her large Tuxedo Park home—the subject of her Rizzoli-published book, A Home for All Seasons: Gracious Living and Stylish Entertaining—to none other than Usher. While she’s also resided in New York and Palm Beach for years and has relocated her main office here, Atlanta holds a special place in her heart: It’s where she raised her three children and where she returns regularly to visit friends and family. “Atlanta is a big city that feels like a small town,” Rollins says. On an average day, she heads straight to ADAC (the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center), where she can handle all her projects under one roof, then puts work aside for a class at Springs Yoga Studio, a walk around Chastain Park, or a meal with loved ones. —Skye Sherman

VIBE Big city with a small-town feel.

FASHION ESSENTIALS FOR DAY Often, pieces from my own label. Or Oliver Peoples sunglasses, Gianvito Rossi shoes, Frame denim, and a Chloé blouse with a J.Crew blazer.

FASHION ESSENTIALS FOR NIGHT Silvia Tcherassi and Johanna Ortiz dresses are my goto, usually with a Gianvito Rossi heel or boot, KZ Noel jewelry, and a Jada Loveless handbag.

WHEN TO GO Fall or spring. It’s so beautiful watching the seasonal highlights since there’s such lushness.
