Where do you even start in describing Rosemary Caligiuri and the success she’s experienced? Well-known radio show host, seminar circuit guru, respected advisor to scores of valued clients and nationally-recognized 2008 Senior Market Advisor of the Year! We’ve helped Rosemary for several years now in the creation of a cohesive, multifaceted marketing campaign. With the many demands on her time, what Rosemary often needs is someone to turn on a dime when she needs something done. This has frequently involved the creation of new print ads or seminar invitations or collateral marketing pieces, and the design team at PBS has consistently put together high-end pieces for Rosemary and her firm – Harvest Group Financial Services. Our most recent work for Rosemary involved an overhaul of her original corporate website – a site that had grown outdated and didn’t quite measure up to other marketing that we had done for her. We gave her site a total makeover, creating a national look and feel and increasing the site’s functionality for her clients. Rosemary is a great example of how an ongoing relationship with our Marketing Team can work. There were several ‘front end’ marketing pieces that needed to be done to help create the dominant Harvest Group Financial Services brand, but beyond those efforts, we continue to keep our finger on the pulse of Rosemary’s practice, creating custom solutions as new needs arise.

We have been doing custom work for Tom Levasseur and The Beacon Retirement Group for quite some time. He was one of the first producers to truly tap into the capabilities and resources of the PBS Marketing Team, and over the past few years, we’ve helped Tom with everything from image branding and seminar marketing to client appreciation events, eMarketing campaigns, multimedia additions to his website and enhancements to his ongoing client newsletters. PBS is uniquely equipped to offer and create custom video productions for our clients. One of these projects – which Tom was able to customize – was a broadcast infomercial to address Boomers’ concerns and help them develop time-tested financial strategies for the days ahead. This supported his ongoing efforts in using our Retirement Analyzer™ software, speaking to the real-life concerns of Boomers heading into retirement.

c5 Wealth Management came to the PBS marketing specialists in 2008 requesting help in becoming more visible and in being thought of as high-end experts with their clientele. c5WM had purchased a third party administrator (TPA) which included 120 medical practices and 150 retirement plans with 8-10 principals each (with $300-500M in total plan value). c5WM needed PBS to assist them in putting together an introductory package for the TPA that would blow their principals away, as this would end up being their first real contact with c5WM. PBS put together an introductory letter, business cards, prestige pieces, an overview DVD with custom videos, and a presentation folder to put all of these high-end materials in. We also designed a custom website, incorporating videos, articles from the producers themselves, client account access, and a number of resources that prospective high net worth clients could explore. Not only was it important to c5WM that their collateral materials impressed the doctors and lawyers, but they also needed their office environment to match those materials, maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout their marketing efforts. PBS was able to assist in that area as well, with a complete overhaul including everything from the researching and coordinating of contractors to furniture solutions and actual office layout.

We also wanted to help c5WM achieve national recognition for their firm that would attract affluent new prospects in terms of professional credibility and C5WM’s financial acumen. We stepped forward and nominated them for the 2009 Boomer Market Advisor Magazine Advisor of the Year Award. We spoke directly with the magazine’s editor-in-chief regarding selection criteria and our Marketing Team assembled a nomination package for c5WM that was later referred to as ‘by far the best presentation the magazine had ever received.’ Paul Bennett and Stan Corey subsequently won the ‘09 Boomer Market Advisor of the Year Award this past May, and there’s no limit to how great an impact this kind of achievement and press will have on their practice.

Steve Ludeman of Ludeman Capital Management in Bellingham, Wash., is one of PBS’ newest alliances. He was named Pacific West Securities’ top producer in 2009 - no small feat, rising above roughly 350 reps within the Broker Dealer. In terms of marketing help, Steve really needed us to start from scratch. He has a lot of “horsepower under the hood” including five ‘junior’ advisors. However, few of these advisors have a great deal of experience. In addition, Ludeman Capital lacked a national look and feel in their marketing pieces, they had no real leavebehind marketing and no real prospecting systems to speak of. They were working almost exclusively off of the repeat business and referrals of their existing clients and as the owner, Steve, needed a way to generate increased sales activity for his team. We worked from the ground floor up, starting with a custom office visit, analysis of Steve’s practice, and creation of a custom marketing plan. This plan called for a host of collateral marketing pieces (such as brochures and prestige pieces) that reflected the caliber of the Ludeman Capital Management team. The PBS Marketing Team also created a professional overview video for the firm. Ludeman Capital then received a custom prospecting plan. We work on an ongoing basis with Ludeman Capital’s Marketing Director, Janelle Junior, to manage, report on, and adjust the custom plan we have assembled for them. We haven’t just handed them a plan and a bag full of high-end marketing pieces – we’re giving them the one-on-one advice and implementation support they deserve every step of the way.

Eric Schindler is another top Pacific West producer and the founder of Schindler Financial Group in La Mesa, Calif. We began our work with Eric and his team in early 2009, starting with an office visit and detailed analysis of the firm’s business model. Based on our analysis, we arrived at a custom marketing plan that involved a complete image branding package. We designed a new logo, built stationery and a custom tri-fold prestige piece, created a custom overview DVD, and built a custom seminar presentation (with all supporting materials) for Eric to use in an aggressive seminar calendar that we put together with him. We were also able to offer some very important help in the area of Schindler Financial Group’s seminar processes. “The devil’s in the details,” and we took a very thorough look at how Eric and his team were currently handling their invitations, conducting their presentations, and setting follow-up appointments with attendees. There were some significant issues with their original seminar process, but by implementing our suggestions, they proceeded to pack their next two seminars with over a hundred attendees – generating dozens of new appointments.

In the course of our more “conventional” marketing help, we also often uncover other opportunities to assist our producers. Eric had recently authored a guide to faith and financial matters and was looking for help with a cover. We designed some awesome cover art, helping Eric effectively launch his book on Amazon.com as well as several other retail outlets.
