Member Names & Join Date: Rich & Donna Potere, joined PCA in 2018

Car(s): 2018 Macan, 2022 Cayman

Have you served on any Regional or National committees: Not yet…

What encouraged you to join the Porsche Club of America: My affinity for Porsche culture…

When it came time to buy a vehicle, what made you choose your Porsche and is this your first Porsche (if not please detail prior Porsche's): I have been a Porsche fan since I was very young. When my son bought his first Porsche (2004

996 C2) before me, I knew it was time for me to get off my horse. My first Porsche was a 2017 Macan which, quickly turned into a 2018 Macan. That led to a 2001 996 C4 Cab that I purchased in 2019, which has since been traded up for a recently delivered 2022 Cayman. I’ve lost control…

What are your favorite Regional &/or National events: I have only had the opportunity to attend a few tech sessions, which were great. I am looking forward to getting out on a few drives.

What is your favorite PCA memory: My job has kept me from participating in a lot of functions, other than a few tech gatherings. Now that I’m retiring, I am looking forward to getting more involved. Thanks goes out to Steve Wood for getting me more involved in the club!

What advice about PCA or Chesapeake would you give to new members: Don’t wait to get involved. The members in this region are a great group of people.

If money was no object, what Porsche would you love to own and why: It’s a tie between 2: 1979 911 Carrera Turbo is what started it all for me, but it doesn't beat the technology in a 2022 Turbo S.

Anything additional you would like to share about yourself (Family/Work/Etc): We are out on vacation for the week.

Kaye and I wanted a Porsche. We visited Porsche of Silver Spring and they had a new Cayman S on the lot, and we bought our first Porsche. Truthfully, Kaye asked me to ride with her to Maple Lawn one Saturdaymorning. She was going toa store to pick up a purchase. As it turned out thestore was Bra La La andshe was picking up two bras. I was surprised! Itold Kaye if I had to come to Bra La La then we aregoing to Porsche of SilverSpring and the rest is history. What are your favoriteRegional &/or National events: There are so many

Traveling to these events has been a blast. What is your favorite PCA memory: The Jay Peak parade in 2016 was ourfirst parade. We had a great time. Thevenue, the group dinners, concours, and drives we participated in were firstclass. We were relatively new, therewere many Chesapeake members in attendance (with a margarita machine). We met a lot of members from different regions, made new friends, andeveryone was incredibly friendly. What advice about PCA or Chesapeake would you give to new members:Our advice to new members is to beactive in the club. the targa, especially theside view. Being able to ridewith the top open would begreat. Plus, when the top isclosed you have the great coupe. All Kaye wants is aBoxster S, Guards Red with black interior and a blacktop (Ed: Sounds like my car,Kaye has great taste!) or PWRHAUS.

Anything additional you would like to share about yourself (Family/Work/ Etc): Kaye and I have been married for 30+ years. We have two daughters, Rachel, and Amanda, one son in law, Tom, and 3 granddaughters, Madeline, Addison, and Betty. Amanda is the car lover of the two. She has the TT in Canandaigua, NY where she lives. Amanda and I picked up the TT when it was new in August 1999. She was eight, it was a special day. Rachel’s family lives in Catonsville. They cannot keep air in the tires.
