Zonefest Gallary

an autocross winner in the S03L class. In SO1L class, Christy Spangler (yours truly) won in her quick 944. For the Gimmick Rally, the Smiths–Gordon driving, and Marlene navigating–won the Spirit Award. A person might have thought they won on the spirit of Marlene’s poetry, but the Spirit winner selection was made prior to the poetry reading. So, in truth, it was a double win for the Smiths! Also in attendance were Walter Sarmiento and his parents (they drove up for Saturday), Althea Pemsel, Lori Renzetti, Bianka (who won the raffle prize of a certificate to attend a Citrus Region Autocross) and Frank Steinfeldt.

The key sponsors, including Porsche Melbourne, the American Muscle Car Museum, and 356 Unlimited, were all gracious and highly enthusiastic hosts. Thank you all. Special thanks and kudos also go to the Space Coast Region as the local PCA host, and to Ms. Leslie Sikorski, our Zone 12 Representative! A great effort by all, which led to great enjoyment for all.

Zonefest is a wonderful alternative to attending the Porsche Parade. It’s nowhere near the distance from South Florida; it’s a three-day event–not week long—it’s a bit more casual, and it’s quite a Porsche event all on its own. As fast as 2022 seems to be flying by, the 2023 Zonefest will be here in no time.
