GCR DE UPDATE

Simply put, Gold Coast Region members want to get back on track with a Driver’s Education (DE) event. DE Manager, Mark Johnson, has been diligently working toward that end with several classroom training sessions designed to educate and inform our members about DE, both personal and vehicle requirements. We have a tentative DE track date in September 2023, but we must have a Chief Track Instructor (CTI), a DE Registrar, and additional member volunteers. A budget for the event will be presented at the May 11th GCR Board of Directors meeting for formal approval. The expected cost to hold a DE at Homestead Miami Speedway (HMS) is roughly $20,000.00.

Two additional items of interest. First, Suncoast Region PCA is very active at the Sebring racetrack with its DE program. If you choose to get on track before GCR is ready, please consider attending one of their scheduled DE events.
