What began as a challenge between groups of Navy SEALS has become one of the most recognized endurance events in the world. IRONMAN is a statement of excellence, passion, and commitment that is a true test of mental and physical toughness. Panama City Beach has proven to have the best combination of temperature and terrain for this competition, making the Florida edition of the challenge one of the most popular races on the circuit.

Twice a year, Panama City Beach becomes a giant outdoor showroom for thousands of hot rods, classic cars, and speedsters for this three-day event at Aaron Bessant Park! Activities include cruise-ins, concerts, parties, vendors, food, parades, and celebrity appearances. Car enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to check out the thousands of hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks, and classics on display.
11 VETERANS DAY SUNSET CEREMONY & PARADE @ PANAMA CITY BEACH (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)
The City of Panama City Beach is sponsoring its second annual Veterans Day Sunset Ceremony and Parade at the Veterans Memorial near Aaron Bessant Park. The event begins with a 3 pm parade through the center of Pier Park, which will include dozens of patriotically decorated golf carts and our most notable guests — our American Veterans! American flags will be distributed along the parade route. There will be a ceremony held at the Veterans Memorial immediately following the parade, where representatives from local veterans groups will be in attendance.
19 GRAND LAGOON BLOODY MARY & MUSIC FESTIVAL @ BLUEGREEN’S BAYSIDE RESORT & SPA
Mark your calendar for the Annual Grand Lagoon Bloody Mary & Music Festival on the beautiful grounds of Bluegreen’s Bayside Resort and Spa Resort. Several bars and restaurants will compete for the title of “Best Bloody Mary in the Grand Lagoon.” New this year, a panel of secret judges will decide who will be crowned the “Big Tomato” and awarded the four-foot, tomato-topped trophy to keep until next year’s event.

Aaron Bessant Park serves as the site of carol-themed concerts, S'mores, an appearance by Santa, and activities for the kids.

The 26.2-mile race attracts thousands of both residents and visitors to the destination year after year.

Panama City Beach may be best known for fun in the sun, but one of Northwest Florida’s most exciting annual events happens after dark: The New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop. Come to Panama City Beach on December 31 to enjoy not one but two great opportunities to welcome in the New Year. The streets of Pier Park are closed off to traffic as thousands of revelers enjoy free live music, entertainment, fireworks, and good cheer.
