Guess what this is?
This was how it looked when I found it. The surface is badly tarnished. It opened up into two telescoping arms. Is it a camera tripod? Where is the third arm? p g p
I will tell you what it is later. First this is how it looks after I polished it up.
I figured it out at the shop. It is a traveler’s cloth hanger!!
You can easily see it when it is fully extended. I told the shop keeper. He got a real kick out of it.

It is made in stainless steel sheet.
Check out the stamping. The brand is “Midget”. It is patented on Jan 7, 1913.
The patent number is 1,049,867, filed on June 19, 1912 by Loeser Kalina.
Remember the German Secret Police in Raiders of the Lost Ark, who took out some fancy metal links that turns into a cloth hanger. Y You never know what you will see in an antique store. k h ill i i There are so much fun.
