4th grade graduation & transition

Graduation marks the celebration of 4th graders in our Elementary ministry Sunday, May 21, 8:30–9:15 am, Room 104/106. The morning will be a fun and encouraging time for our 4th grade families. Students will receive a diploma and a final word of encouragement from the Children’s ministry staff. Following the graduation and 9:30 service, the Middle School staff will come to pick up the 4th graders from Kids Court to walk them over for the remainder of the morning. vbs boot camp - march on!

Bring your soldiers ages 5 (by 9/1) to rising fourth graders June 5-8! A mini-camp will be held for volunteers' children ages 0-4. Registration is open at pcpc.org. Recruitment for youth volunteers (incoming 5th-12th graders) has reached capacity, but our waitlist is open. Don’t delay in registering your youth! We’re still looking for more Sergeants (aka adult volunteers)! Please note that priority will be assigned to waitlisted youth who have a parent also serving at VBS 2017. vbs@pcpc.org

This semi-silent retreat offers participants the opportunity to quietly meditate on God’s Word in a beautiful setting as they enjoy their own private room. women's maymester bible study

Join us May 17–31, 10:00–11:15 am and June 7, 1:30–2:45 pm, Oak Lawn West, for "Conversations with the Creator" led by Neatice Warner. This study will be four lessons on prayer and God’s Word and the wisdom of individuals’ insights into prayer. Each lesson will focus on God’s communication with us and ours with Him. officer recommendations for class of 2022

The session has approved the month of May for members to submit recommendations for the offices of deacon and elder, Class of 2022. A screening committee led by ruling elder Jim Madden and composed of elders, deacons, and laity will interview all recommended men and consider their qualifications before submitting a list of potential officer candidates to the session for approval. The men approved by the session will undergo training on the Bible, The Westminster Confession of Faith, The Book of Church Order, and officer-specific books, and stand for election by the congregation in the spring of 2018. congregational meeting for the election of officers, class of 2021

The Session of PCPC has approved a congregational meeting to take place between the 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services on Sunday, June 4, for the purpose of electing elders and deacons for the Class of 2021. Candidates have successfully completed the officer training classes and have been approved by the session. Members must be present to vote on the slate. Photos and profiles of the candidates will be published here and in eThisWeek in May. Pegasus Fellowship, Class of 2017-2018 The Pegasus Fellowship is an intensive nine-month theological and spiritual development program designed to equip Christians for Gospel leadership in the world. The Fellowship runs from Labor Day through Memorial Day.
