Each Christmas season we offer PCPC members the opportunity to purchase a poinsettia ($9.00 each) in memory of or in honor of a friend or loved one. They will be in the Sanctuary Sunday, December 8, and there will be a bulletin insert that morning listing the names of the donor and the recipient. Our chancel area will be wreathed in these beautiful plants for our worship services from December 8 through Christmas Eve. You may take your plant with you following the Christmas Eve service if you wish to do so. Online reservations (pcpc.org/events) will close on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00 p.m. Requests received later than November 27 will miss the insert printing deadline. jayne.bjork@pcpc.org

SENIOR ADULT CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON AND CONCERT Tuesday, December 6 | 12:00–2:00 p.m. | Oak Lawn West

If you've never been to Boxes of Blessing, it is hard to fully describe the atmosphere. Before the packing starts, the air is buzzing with excitement. A controlled chaos ensues as of hundreds people start diligently packing boxes of food. Young and old, rich and poor, neighbors from all over Dallas unite under a banner of serving others. The smoothness with which the operation runs is always impeccable considering how much is going on, and you would think that the flurry of activity would tire out the volunteers - but they can’t seem to get enough. Singing, laughing, and smiling our way through the morning, we pack an unbelievable pile of thousands of meals. It is one thing to know about the love of God, and another to live it. This is where we put flesh and blood on the mission of PCPC: extending the transforming presence of Christ to Dallas and the world. What makes this event different than other service projects at our church? The sheer magnitude, the inter-generational relationships, and the opportunity to invite people who aren’t believers to an event where the church and Christ’s love truly shines bright. “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:35 It may seem like it’s hard to make an impact in the world these days, but Boxes of Blessing truly changes lives. The boxes go to churches and nonprofits all over Dallas, and each meal can be a difference maker for these families. In coming together, we can make a difference in Dallas. The Kingdom of God will gain ground as we spread joy and the Gospel messages included in the box. Often when we fellowship and serve, the veil between heaven and earth becomes thin. We can see the glory and design God has for us when we do what we were made to do. So please come on Saturday, December 7 from 8:30 a.m.-Noon, 6100 Cedar Springs Road. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalms 34:8 — Kyle Cantrell
