EVERYONE WOMEN'S & MEN'S FALL BIBLE STUDIES
Wondering what our church is doing for adult Bible studies this fall? We are excited to announce we are all studying the miracles of Jesus. Tuesday Men’s Bible study will be led by Paul Goebel and other godly men. Women’s Bible studies will consolidate, meet on Wednesdays, and have a different teacher each week. The teachings will be live streamed, recorded, and posted on our church website along with a study guide. Small groups will meet virtually and off campus, as appropriate. A preschool program will be offered following the same passages you will study as adults! There is no fee for this study; however, you do need to register. Registration is now open, and the studies begin September 15-16. Join us and find your hope renewed in Christ Jesus as we study His miracles all together this fall! pcpc.org/events We are continuing to assess the safety of our worshippers on a week to week basis. We are still REQUIRING all attendees to wear masks or cloth face coverings over the nose and mouth while in the church building. If you are uncomfortable with this, we understand and ask that you attend worship online. To help ensure we hold our worship services safely, we ask that you reserve a seat for you and your family online at pcpc.org/reserve-seat. If you or anyone in your party have had any of the following in the past 7 days, we ask that you please worship online with us at pcpc.org/live. • Fever Over 100 • Cough or Sore Throat • Shortness of Breath • Contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 (in the past 14 days)

SUNDAY WORSHIP
Sinclair Ferguson shows that a deep-seated concern of the writers of the New Testament was to see Christians grow to spiritual maturity and if that was the concern of the first believers, then it should be our concern too. In clear and logical chapters that are rooted in the reality of the Christian life, the author, who has had long experience in pastoral ministry and seminary teaching, seeks to show what Christian maturity is, and how it is to be obtained.

He continued to come to OurCalling and began listening to sermons. He experienced the continued love shown by staff, welcoming him with open arms, and after a few days, Nick, another care minister, gave a powerful sermon that graced James and drew him in to receive prayer. After their prayer and meeting, Nick welcomed James in a way that impacted him like never before: he greeted him by his name. James immediately felt his spirit of loneliness and isolation shatter; he felt loved.
More than a nonprofit serving the homeless, PCPC's new City Missions Ministry Partner OurCalling is a team of volunteers motivated by the love of Christ to search in every corner of the city for the lost and needy and offer them true friendship and meaningful support. We build long-term relationships with friends on the street, guiding them to a relationship with Jesus Christ that will help them to realize their worth and inspire them to invest in their lives.

Upon the continual grace of God being shown through Nick, Dennis, and other care ministers to James, he decided to give his life to the Lord. A few days later, James was surrounded by the OurCalling staff and was baptized. He continues to walk with Christ as he now serves at OurCalling, ministering to those who come to us just like he did.

James was the victim of a broken home and quickly found himself drinking to escape his reality. He soon began traveling from state to state with the fair, working the games. His fast-paced lifestyle ended when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, leaving him with no job and only a few bucks in his pocket. He had made his way to Texas to find somewhere to stay. Along the way, he was robbed of all his belongings and found himself sleeping outside of a Walmart. Lying there drunk, he began to feel sick and cried out loud, “I need to stop drinking!” He managed to get up and walk to the hospital by himself. James was released from the hospital five days later and was sent to the only accessible shelter in Dallas, the Convention Center. On April 27th, frustrated, hopeless, and angry, James followed a new friend to OurCalling to receive some resources for the first time. Once arriving, he met Bobby, an OurCalling care minister, who invited him to keep coming.

With PCPC's New City Missions Ministry Partner, OurCalling
Each morning, our team of staff and volunteers huddle up early at OurCalling, to share a short devotional and any updates that may have happened in the past 24 hours. While the 15 minute morning huddle is in progress, our homeless neighbors begin to gather outside our gates. With a smile, we open the gates and begin to care for our homeless guests. Many come in need of essential items such as a shower, laundry, new clothing, or simply just the need to use a restroom.
