EVERYONE SUNDAY WORSHIP

We are still REQUIRING all attendees to wear masks or cloth face coverings over the nose and mouth while in the church building. If you are uncomfortable with this, we understand and ask that you attend worship online. To help ensure we hold our worship services safely, we ask that you reserve a seat for you and your family online at pcpc.org/reserve-seat. If you or anyone in your party have had any of the following in the past 7 days, we ask that you please worship online with us at pcpc.org/live. • Fever Over 100 • Cough or Sore Throat • Shortness of Breath • Contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 (in the past 14 days)

OUR FAMILY
deaths • Lynda B. Fray (CC#06), wife of David L. Fray (CC#06); mother of Matt (& Erin) Fray (CC#14); grandmother of Hudson, Lydia, & Samuel Fray (CC#14) on September 11, 2020.
sympathies We met in April, 2019 and dated for about 8 months, and just 6 months later, we were married. Shortly after meeting, we walked through many of life’s big events together and knew quickly that we desired to intentionally pursue our relationship and strongly consider marriage. During our season of engagement, we registered for the UNION marriage preparation class, and then completed pre-marital counseling with Pete Deison, who later married us. Both of these experiences built a strong base for our marriage with UNION being pivotal in the foundation of our engagement. Our class leaders emphasized the importance of always pursuing each other and never becoming too comfortable in our marriage.

s the world wrestles with this Covid pandemic and all of it’s uncertainty, international students at SMU are preparing to dive into a new semester. For the past 6 years, Chris Morrison has served as the campus minister for RUF International welcoming students, exploring the truths of the Gospel, and equipping students to be lifelong followers of Christ whether in the United States or in their home countries. This summer, he has transitioned to a national role with RUF International, pastoring and training our campus ministers and staff, as well as helping RUF International to expand to universities where we do not yet have a presence. As a church, we have the privilege of welcoming a new campus minister to our church body. Introducing Fee Kennedy, our new RUF International campus minister to SMU, and his wife Kelly. Fee and Kelly come to us from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Jackson where Fee recently graduated with his M.Div. and Kelly completed her master of arts in counseling. Fee is a native of Dallas (his father and grandfather both worked for HPISD), and Kelly is from Tulsa, OK. They met their freshmen year at University of Arkansas and have been married for 5 years. They just found out that they are expecting their first child too!
Part of this pursuit is understanding our differences and learning to negotiate these differences with the aim of Philippians 2:4 - to look also to the interest of others. We also learned that opposites attract and those qualities are what you love most about your spouse, but later can become that which annoys you the most! So as you walk through marriage, rather than wishing your spouse was more like you, understand your differences and work to meet in the middle. We learned how to ask, and often rephrase, questions in order to allow your partner to feel comfortable and safe to open up. James 1:19 was helpful as we are called to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Finally, we met many friends through UNION, and we are now in a Foundation Group, a small group of newly married couples where we are growing together in this same season of life. UNION offered a place to be open and honest and talk through both the excitements and the challenges of marriage, providing a place to speak truthfully about how to fully love and pursue your spouse as the Lord designed. — Justin and Meredith McNeely
The journey to becoming a campus minister with RUF International at SMU began when Fee was in college. After his freshman year, he spent a summer teaching English in China, which formed a profound interest in cross-cultural ministry and the global Church. He was fascinated by the experience of living in a different culture, and it sparked his imagination for how he could join God in His global mission. When he returned to America, he became heavily involved in ministry to international students. He did one-on-one Bible studies with Chinese students, befriended Muslim students, and played basketball with students from all over the world. His interest in cross-cultural ministry continued to grow during his time in seminary. Fee had the privilege of interning at Redeemer Church, a multi-ethnic PCA church in Jackson, MS. This experience, along with studying theology with students from all over the world, bolstered his interest in working cross-culturally as well as taught him about making ministries accessible for all people and how to embrace cross-cultural dynamics in the church. The combined effect of experiences, interests, and unique gifts was a confirmed calling to cross-cultural ministry. Fee and Kelly are most excited about welcoming and providing a hospitable place for students. They look forward to sharing with them the good news of Christ. Stay tuned for opportunities to come minister alongside the Kennedys to the international students at SMU! If you are interested, please reach out to sarah.morrison@pcpc.org.
