What did you say when your mom asked why you’re going to a Presbyterian church? What does it mean to say you’re reformed? Join us Sundays, starting November 8, 9:30–11:00 am, Room 301, for Basics and Beyond, a new six–week class that will explore and explain the theological identity of our church. Taught by our pastors, this will be an opportunity to learn more about some things you heard in the New Members’ Class. Basics and Beyond is open to everyone. The Family Ministry invites all volunteers working with children or youth ages 17 and under to attend an important training session Sunday, November 1, 12:15–2:30 pm, Room 301, to discuss and learn more about MinistrySafe Awareness and Protection at PCPC. MinistrySafe co-founder Kim Norris will deliver sexual abuse awareness and prevention training to all volunteers. Updated policy and procedure information will also be provided at this training. While this training is geared primarily toward volunteers, it is open to anyone interested in learning more about PCPC’s awareness and protection program. simon johnson concert Simon Johnson, critically acclaimed organist of St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, England, will perform a recital on PCPC’s Schoenstein organ Friday, November 6, 7:30 pm. A brilliant and sensitive musician, his playing has been called “spine-tinglingly sublime.” This event is co-sponsored by the Dallas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
