The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12; leading them to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour, and unite with God’s church, nurturing them in preparation for Jesus’ soon return. PRINCIPLES OF OUR FAITH The Holy Bible is the written word of God (2 Tim 3:16-17) There is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal persons (Deut 6:4) God is the creator of all things (Gen 1 & 2) Jesus Christ is our saviour (John 1:1-3, 14) The Holy Spirit is our comforter (John 15:26) Men and women are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26-28) Salvation is received by grace through faith (Eph 2:8-9) Baptism by immersion in water (Rom 6:1-6) Lord’s Supper (1 Cor 10:16) Spiritual gifts (Rom 12: 4-8) The gift of prophecy (Joel 2:28, 29) That the law of the Ten Commandments is the standard of righteousness by which all will be judged and which all Christians are commanded to obey (James 2:10-12) The seventh day is God’s Sabbath from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday (Gen 2:1-3) That the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and is not to be defiled by alcohol, tobacco, drugs or wrong eating habits (1 Cor 6:19-20) The imminent return of our Lord (John 14:1-3)

Paul says to those who are fighting on the side of truth: “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” We are urged to prepare for this conflict. “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The warning is repeated, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

He who is mighty in counsel, to whom all power in heaven and earth has been given, will come to the help of those who trust in him. In the Scriptures we read that in certain places Christ could not do many mighty works, because of the unbelief existing there. It is of great importance that we have a faith that will not wait for the evidence of sight before it ventures to advance. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
