2013 Spring Bull Sale Summary
2nd Highest Average Ever — 2nd Largest Grossing Spring Ever at over $10.5 million
According to statistics, the 2013 overall sale average and overall gross were the highest in the 32 years that the Charolais Banner has been compiling bull sale results.
There were 77 sales reporting in 2013 with the overall average down a slight $352 and 79 more lots selling. Total gross sales were down $558,520.
A quick overview shows that of the 66 sales reporting in both 2012 and 2013, 23% of those sales had an increase in their over‐all sale gross. There were 29 sales grossing more than $150,000. There were 23 sales selling more than 40 lots.
Mature bulls were up in average $5795 with 6 1/6 more lots selling in 2013.
There were 98 more two‐year‐old bull lots selling in 2013 with a decrease in aver‐age of $464. 56% of sales with two‐year olds selling had a two‐year old average above $4000.
There were 25 less yearling lots selling in 2013, realizing a decrease in average of
$359. Of all the sales with yearling bulls selling, 33% of the yearling sales averaged over $4000.
