Welcome to the 8th Annual No Borders Sale ➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤
The 8th Annual No Borders sale once again has another great line up of genetics from 11 breeders this year. The recent Ag-Ex Grand Champion Female is here and what a great show heifer prospect she is for next year. In addition to her there are several show prospect heifer calves to look at including pick of the C2 heifer pen. There is a female amongst the group of quality proven producers who’s last two bull calves sold for a combined $23,000. There are some front end bred heifers sired by and bred to the biggest names in the industry including pick of the High Bluff bred heifers. From Full French to red factor females the front of these breeders programs in each category are there. As a testament to the quality, over the years, cattle have sold into seven provinces and into six U.S states. Yes, there is something for everyone here and this year we are again broadcasting live on DLMS. This really is a fun event for both the consignors and buyers with some great networking and working together. The sale is relaxed where everyone can have fun and share ideas and genetics. We want to set this stage and welcome everyone to come the night before the sale and join in a mixer at the Jay’s Inn and Suites hotel. Book your room early and if you have trouble getting one, ask for one under the No Borders block or contact us and we will help get one booked for you. There is truly an endless opportunity in the Charolais breed and we encourage you to come and join in these exciting times with us. The bull market is expanding and Charolais is picking up market share with the Charcross calves again topping the market. You are welcome to view the sale cattle the day before when they move into the auction market or the morning of the sale. If we can be of any assistance before the sale to facilitate your purchasing, please don’t hesitate to contact us, any of the consignors or sale staff. This heifer has stacked genetics with stunning cows on both sides of her pedigree. With foundation cows like Schatzi and High Bluff Buster 176W you know this heifer is going to be able to hit it out of the park. She’s extremely sound, deep and has a flare of style through her front end that makes it hard to take your eyes off her. Don’t miss this opportunity, she’s halter broke and we think has a future on both the farm and show ring.

Maternal sister: TLJ 975A Pleasantdawn Spring is a maternal sister to last year’s $18,750 high seller to Saddleridge. Her grandmother is Pleasantdawn Arrow 214G, a Gold Star Dam that was top 1% for milk, 17 years old, and produced 15 calves naturally, yes a perfect udder. Her other granddam is Pleasantdawn 75S, who is still going strong at 13 with perfect feet and looks like she is 6. Chisum has done so much for creating calving ease to performance, with maternal traits that not too many bulls can do as well as him! Once again consistent genetics bred generations back.

All my customers know how I rave about that bloodline. Felicity’s dam is a fancy, high producing Voimo daughter. Preg checked safe to AI sire Hamel out of France, for a Feb. 1st calf. Hamel is a new upcoming outcross bull who I think is an outstanding cross-mixed with this upcoming female! This gene pool is really cool in my mind with all the direct decedents out of France! If it helps anyone out (due to their own calving times) I will bring the heifer home and calve her out with my own until an appropriate time can be arranged for pick-up. She will be calved and looked after to the best of my ability with the understanding that everyone knows anything can happen at calving time. This calf is as sweet as they come out of a first calf Navajo 15X daughter. She caught everyone’s eye in the pasture this summer. If you are looking for some red influence she should get a look. Jon had her picked before he got out of the truck. I think this heifer will go on to be a super cow and before she gets to that stage she is showy enough to take out on the road if you are so inclined. She is sired by our heifer bull we acquired from the Gerrard dispersal. We are extremely happy with him and think a great deal of his offspring.

This heifer is a combination of the two main red factor bulls we have used here to date. The Merlot bull was a very moderate bull with great maternal genetics. The Navajo 15X bull carried on the maternal characteristics but added some size to his offspring. This heifer is also bred to our walking bull Gerrard Rolex 2E for a January calf. Our entire heifer pen was bred to him last year and again this year. The calf on offer is a daughter of his. He adds hair and length to all his offspring.
