HAVE WE GOT A SUMMER FOR YOU!
PDS Summer Adventures happily invites you to join us in our state of the art facilities. A climbing wall, ropes course, two gymnasiums, multiple playgrounds, football field, multi-purpose field and two age-appropriate school buildings are available as we extend and expand our offerings. Joining me are Ross Spain and Kathleen McCallen. Ross, Dean of Students at PDS, has put together an ambitious, fun-filled program of sports and day camps that will provide your child with exercise and memories that will last a lifetime. Kathleen looks forward to assisting in directing and operating our summer program in 2011. On the academic side Alice Parker, Director of the Tutoring and Enrichment Center, will be here with her first-class tutors to assist you and your child in meeting his or her academic potential. Additionally, our Summertime Scholars program provides fly up classes for grades JK – 3rd, as well as a technology class for upper grades. A math class is being premiered this summer for fifth grade also. Enrichment? We haven’t forgotten the part that minienrichment camps and classes play in summer. Your child can practice Taekwondo, learn magic tricks, create art, play the guitar and invest time in technology, just to name a few. We at PDS are excited about our Summer Adventures and hope that you can be here!

SUM-Bo Summer Destroyer
Like the legendary Phoenix, the monstrous entity known as Sum-Bo manifests itself every year on the Summer Solstice. With every child, boy or girl, who feels the melancholy of summer boredom, Sum-Bo’s strength and power grows. And as his power grows, kids the world over become even more tired, bored and sluggish. It is a vicious cycle. But one that must be broken. Sum-Bo’s incredible rage is easily quelled by a significant amount of summer fun. If enough boys and girls engage in a singular focus to have fun, Sum-Bo will be defeated once and for all!
Sum-Bo will sometimes break up a pack of kids playing together, hoping they will run home and become bored again.
