Climate Change Compared To What Jesus Said About A Sign Of His Second Coming
Just what is climate change? Besides the earths warming of our atmosphere and oceans but changes in our world’s natural systems. Normal weather patterns are being changed. Sea levels are rising around coastal cities like Boston and New York. Sea, ice, the glaciers and even land are being lost in the Arctic. This causes heat and droughts in the Northern Hemisphere and very little rain in the mid and central parts of the United States where much of our farmland is located. All of these conditions are causing many fires and decreased food conditions. Climate change is accelerating fast. There is a major threat to our food production and water supplies. Global diseases are increasing. As our world keeps getting warmer, scientists are saying at least 12 diseases are going to worsen. Cholera, Lyme Disease, Tuberculosis and Yellow Fever are just a few. Climate change then is widespread and accelerating decay in the earth’s natural systems that threaten human society by causing hunger, disease and natural disasters. Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 there will be famines, earthquakes in various places. As I write this message Italy has had 2 earthquakes. Are earthquakes linked to climate change? Yes, climate changes even trigger earthquakes, tsunamis and volcano eruptions. Folks these things are happening because mankind is living in sin and are separated from God. Folks Romans 8:2 from the Bible tells us the whole world is groaning from sin. God is providing a multitude of signs that our earth is reaching a termination point. Humans are accelerating climate change. Many of you will not believe this but ask your heart why these things are happening. God will tell you. Whatever your thought is it’s safe to say the Bible predicts rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes as Christ’s 2nd coming draws near. For the pestilences, folks look at the Zika Virus which is already an epidemic. More viruses are coming, be prepared. Folks the Bible predicted these things 2,000 years ago. These things are indicators that the coming of Jesus is very near. Folks believe the Bible for it is our most reliable source of wisdom and guidance. Folks changes are coming and they are expected to have a profound impact on our society and will affect each and every one of us. Folks God has to be brought back into our world for our livelihood. Over 50 percent of people in our world say they don’t need him. But, to the people who know him, keep your faith and pray that God will have mercy on those who don’t. Don’t forget folks, Jesus Christ is the only way to have access to God. Thank You.

Slowly the x-rays began to come in. The shoulder looked good, but not so good for the neck. I had two vertebrae that had been damaged and were putting pressure on my spinal cord. That pressure was causing my right arm to be paralyzed. The doctor came in and told us what was going on. They immediately put a c-collar on me and told me to be very still. My parents still had not been contacted. The pain was unbelievable. Every heart beat was like a sharp knife going into my neck and shoulder. The nurse finally said, “I’m going to give him something for pain”. While she was putting the shot in, my dad called the hospital. Soon, he had made arrangements for me to be carried to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The hospital over there was very small and could not handle this situation. How the funeral home got involved I don’t know, but in a little while a hearse pulled up. That’s right, a hearse. Arcadia didn’t have an ambulance service back then. The funeral home would pick up the sick and injured and take them to the hospital. Load and go they called it. I was under a lot of medication, and I might say, thank God for that because the pain was horrific. They had two people in the hearse, one to drive and one to sit beside me in the back. They brought the stretcher in and moved me on it. I had to lay perfectly still. They had a c-collar, but they had no way to keep my head from turning from the bumps. They placed a small towel and pillow on each side of my neck to keep me stable. After a few minutes we were off, the hearse, two people from the hearse and my best friend. My friend rode in the front and has told me on several occasions what happed during the transport. The pain medicine they had given me was making me sick. I needed to throw up. Well, how was that going to happen? I had a c-collar on and had pillows and towels keeping my head straight. You guessed it. I would throw straight up. Up it went like a hose spraying and then down it came all in my face. The poor man trying to help me was having such a hard time. Up the stuff went then down it came. He was told not to move me or I might be completely paralyzed so he was doing all he could to help me. I couldn’t help either. My right arm was paralyzed and with my neck held down and under the amount of medication they had given me I just wasn’t any help either. It seems funny now, but then it seemed like a nightmare that I just couldn’t wake up from… Page 23

John Charles Arndt, 46, of Largo, Florida passed away on December 20, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Florida. John was born on December 23rd, Christmas Eve eve, in 1969, in Tampa, Florida, to the joy of his family. He was a lifelong resident of Arcadia, Florida, having moved to Largo in 2015. He attended DeSoto High School and was an accomplished musician and guitar player, and worked in contracting and construction. John attended First Presbyterian Church of Arcadia and had been a member of the Eagles Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who also loved martial arts, horticulture, science, scuba diving, sailing, boating, woodworking, skydiving, and movies. His family will remember him as a loving, kind, and generous man who was dedicated to the people to that he loved. He was a defender of the weak and the downtrodden, and was the type of person who never met a stranger. He loved all animals, especially his Yorkie, Tadoe “Tad” Arndt, and Chihuahua/terrier mix Wolfie. He was our resident clown who kept us happy and laughing in all situations. His great passion was music, but his next favorite time was when he could set off fireworks and light up the world with a big bang. The word “John” means “The rock” and he was all of that and then some. He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Charles Arndt, his maternal grandparents, John and Ruth Yama, his paternal grandparents Rufus Charles and Irene Arndt, his maternal uncle Charles Weaver, and ten other aunts and uncles. He is survived by his life-mate and fiancée, Debbie Herbert, mother Nancy Yama Arndt Turner, daughter Meagan Faye Arndt, maternal aunt Susan Yama Head, paternal aunt Gwen (Willis) Jackson, paternal aunt Irene (Doyle) Edwards, and cousins Lindsay Head (Donnie) Knoche and Jarrod Head, Chloe Savannah Knoche and Adalyn Grace Knoche and Cory Andrew Head. All those who attend John’s Celebration of life are loved and appreciated beyond words. Earn a GED diploma, improve your academic skills to enter programs in higher education, or learn useful technical skills. Our programs cater to adult learners like you! If you need a high school diploma, are considering a career change, interested in re-entering the workforce, or want to improve your employability skills, we have something just for you! The GED Prep course is geared to individualized instruction to assist you in earning a State of Florida High School Diploma through our GED program. All materials are adult oriented, and tuition is only $45 per semester for students. Students may apply for possible tuition assistance. In addition, we also offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for students who are beginning on their road to earning the GED diploma.
