Junior by Bumpy Thermos Chapter 1
I was born a long time ago. Some people say it was a really long time ago, but I’m ok with that, it was. Things were different back then. People would always wave at you when you were walking down the street, even people that didn’t know you. If someone walked by you, it was not strange to say hi or hello or maybe even how are you doing? People were just more friendly back then. Or at least that’s the way I remember it. In those days your parents would tell you to go outside and play and you did. Not get on a computer and play, but go outside and play some kind of something. Maybe Cowboys and Indians or any kind of ball; baseball, football or even basketball. There were five of us. Myself and two brothers and two sisters. And of course we had all kind of neighbors. So somebody would have a ball of some kind for us to play with. If that didn’t make you happy, you could always go out into the woods. We loved those woods. We would always go out as far as we could get away with and play as much as we could. Yes, we lived way out in the country in a really small town called Nocatee. I am not kidding, that is the name of the town. I think it was an Indian name. It had one grocery store named Proctor’s and no gas stations, or at least not at first. We only lived about a mile from that store so we could walk down there if we needed anything. We lived on about two acres out in the woods. Not right on the road but pretty close. We weren’t very far from the river. But one thing for sure though, there were some big woods between us and that river. Large oaks with all kinds of other crazy looking trees and vines hanging down. The trees were enormous and were everywhere. Oh yea, we had some forts inside those woods. Some under limbs and some in the low hanging branches of some of the bigger trees. Our parents would let us go a little ways into the woods, but not too far. Well at least we weren’t supposed to go very far into those woods. But you know kids. Sometimes we would go all the way to the river. Of course we would always be back before dark. We did not want to be in those woods at night. Not that we were scared or anything, it was just real dark after the sun went down… Real dark… We all lived in a really small house with three bedrooms. All five kids, mom and dad and one crazy cousin. His name was Junior and he was some kin on moms side. Not sure how or why he lived with us, but he did. To me he just looked funny. He wasn’t a very big man, but he had the funniest haircut. I think he must have cut his own hair, because his hair was never combed, but always cut. Not too short but cut. It just looked funny on his head. The hair would turn in every direction and would be all over the place, like he had just got up and had tossed and turned all night in his sleep. He was not a mean man. He mostly only yelled at us when we went the wrong way… So of course we would get even with him when the chance came up… Bumpy Thermos

Why Will Jesus Come In The Clouds?
The Bible has much to say about clouds. Matthew 24 tells us how it will happen when Christ returns in Volume I: the clouds. When he makes his entry every eye will see him. It will be a sight to see. The human being will have a hard time adjusting to what they see. This will be a supernatural event. Christ will be in his full glory with amazing power. In the book of Acts from the Bible, Jesus’ disciples watched as he rose from the Earth to return to Heaven. Two angels appeared and said, Men of Galilee why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken from you will come back in the same way you have seen him leave. Jesus’ arrival from Heaven is very important because everyone on Earth will be able to see him, even those who pierced him. Even at his Sanhedrin Trial. Sanhedrin meaning a council denoting the supreme judicial and administrative law body of the Jewish people. The Sanhedrin consisted of 71 members, the high priest being in charge. They were mostly chief priests; elders & scribes. Jesus told his accusers, I say to all of you from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the mighty one and coming in the clouds. Matthew 26:64. Our Savior wants everyone to see this event with his or her own eyes. His arrival in the clouds is also important because false prophets and imposters will try to deceive the people and falsify its wonders. Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. Apostle Paul in his letters to the churches assured us that the Lord himself will come down from Heaven with a loud command. Folks there will be fantastic power in his voice. This is the voice that every knee will bow to him. Satan will never have this enormous power that Christ has. He may think he does but when it happens he will find out. He will come with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet call of God. Scriptures tell us the dead who believed and trusted in Christ will rise first then we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ in the air. Folks remember how he was lifted up on the cross to die for our sins and then lifted up in the clouds to return to his father and receive the assurance that his sacrifice was not in vain. A penalty that otherwise would have been ours. The chastisement or punishment for our peace and forgiveness of sins was on his shoulders. He was wounded for our sins against God, his father, and our creator. Folks, God loves us, but he will not tolerate sin. Thank You.

Arnulfo Machado-Cruz was born on November 22, 1961 in Havana, Cuba to his parents Arnulfo Machado Baez and Lourdes Cruz Cobo. He passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2017 in Sarasota, Florida at the young age of 55. Arnulfo came to the US at the age of 15 as a brave, hardworking young man. He spent his life specializing in residential construction working alongside his wife Shelia. He enjoyed fishing and most of all loved spending time with his family. Arnulfo leaves behind his loving wife of 15 years, Shelia; stepchildren Christopher and Tiffany Ward; grandchildren Masson Cole Rodgers, Trinity Marie McPherson, and YniQue Cincere Ward; sister Marlen; and his mother Lourdes Cruz Cobo. Arnulfo will be missed by many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10 am – 12 pm with a funeral service commencing at 12 pm at the First Christian Church located at 34 El Verano Ave. Arcadia, FL 34266. Charles W Harrison Sr, 84 of Arcadia, Florida closed his eyes on earth and woke up in heaven on June 18, 2017. He was born on December 7, 1932 to Samuel Earl Harrison Sr and Lyle Lipsey Harrison. He was raised on the Harrison Ranch between Arcadia and Sarasota. He was a true Florida cracker. He graduated from DeSoto County High School in 1951. Charles was called to active duty for the Florida National Guard serving his country from 1949 to 1972. He retired from the National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel and Battalion Executive Officer. After that Charles become involved in the citrus industry for fifty years and was the proud owner of CW Harrison, Inc. He also farmed watermelons for 25 years. He served on the Board for the Florida Citrus Mutual for ten years, SunTrust Bank for twenty years and the Boca Grande Club from 1980 until this past year. He was also involved in the real estate industry for many years. Charles was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being on the water with friends and family. He traveled all over the world with those closest to him. Charles loved his wife, sons, grandsons, granddaughter, and his great granddaughters. He enjoyed eating ice cream with them, fishing with them, and pealing oranges for Charlee Grace while she sat on the side of his chair. His contagious smile and warm heart will be greatly missed by his family. Charles is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years Fay Taylor Harrison, two sons, Charles William Harrison, Jr and Philip Earl Harrison, three grandchildren, Cristinia Harrison Hickox (Steve Hickox), Charles William Harrison III, and Colt Winston Harrison, and three great granddaughters, Rylie Ann Hickox, Macie Brooke Hickox, and Charlee Grace Hickox and one sister in law, Dorothy Sellers Harrison and Buddy their dog. Charles is preceded in death by his father and mother, Samuel and Lyle Lipsey Harrison, one sister, Merle Prine, and three brothers, Samuel Harrison Jr, Robert Harrison, and Lynn Harrison. Rev. Grady Lee Harrison was born on September 7, 1925 in Darlington, Florida to Samuel T. and Leonia (Anderson) Harrison. He was the youngest of 13 siblings. Grady married Alice Ernestine Snipes in Winter Haven in 1946. Rev. Harrison was ordained as a Baptist minister on December 29, 1965 by the First Baptist Church of Arcadia, Florida. He pastored Sandy Baptist Church in Manatee County, and Brownsville Baptist and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Churches in DeSoto County. Rev. Harrison was lauded as the last of an era of Circuit Riding Ministers, in the True Cracker Heritage. He retired from Federal employment with the Soil Conservation Service in 1987, and treasured the life long friendships he developed with many farmers and ranchers. Reverend Harrison passed to Glory on June 16, 2017 in Tallahassee, Florida following a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Grady Lee is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ernestine four children - Patricia (Vernon) Fleming of Raleigh, NC, Billy (Jean Marie) Harrison of Murphy, NC, Sonny (Louise) Harrison of Bristol, Florida, Alica (David) Lawrence of Arcadia, FL; 7 grandchildren - Angela (Chris) Thoman, Justin (Alicia) Harrison, Tammy (Bobby) Munshower, Devin (Arianne) Lawrence, Alissa (Jonathan) Davis, Michelle Lawrence, and Matthew Harrison, 4 great grand children, and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. The girl was frightened, and ran inside in fear. Then the older brother heard his little sister scream. He ran inside immediately. Congratulations to Ashlyn Billings, Matilde Bois and Tesa Dennison as you journey to Carnegie Hall, representing DeSoto County. Selected from hundreds of international applicants, these ladies will perform in an elite honors choir of 200 students. Middle School Chorus Director, Carrie Guffy, is marking the fourth consecutive time her students have been awarded this honor. The project took 1350lbs of plastic bottle caps collected over 2 1/2 years. Principal Dan Dubbert and Mrs. Green would like to thank the huge community contributions it took to bring this project to fruition. Young Ladies of Nocatee is an organization Mrs. Green began in 2015 as a mentorship program for girls at her school. This bench is a memorial to the efforts of these amazing students. Own a business?
