How Close Are Biblical Events To Our World?
Folks watch soon coming world events start happening. Some of the biblical prophecies have already happened. Many more are on the way. Unless Americans repent, our God in Heaven will break our nations pride and power. Our financial power will probably start fading. Our military power will be weakened. Powerful natural disasters will continue with more increasing strength. Remember folks, God controls the weather. Look at Mother Nature tearing our country apart. Our country will soon face famine and drought. Disease epidemics will occur more with new strains. Look at the Zika Virus & how fast it is moving throughout our country. Our nation’s vile lifestyles and Godless ways are going to destroy us. Folks, earthquakes are going to be more frequent. Jesus described the end time events. There will be great earthquakes in various places. What do you think various places mean folks? Watch our state of California in the future. It is way overdue. Has the state repented of its sins? No. Pray for everybody who lives there folks. God is shaking our world up to get our attention. He loves us folks but he will not stand by as we sin against his laws and regulations. Most people despise his laws and his statutes and the entire way of life set forth in the Bible. The real Jesus Christ of the Bible will return to this earth and destroy Satan, who has caused all of this sin. Nations and their people have been completely deceived. They will literally fight against him. He will finally restore peace and sanity to this confused world. Many people will curse God when he pours out his plagues as punishment for what we have done; Revelation 16:11. Folks pray for our nation, our leaders, our supreme court, our states and national legislatures. Our country has rejected the God of the Bible. Folks Jesus quoted in the Bible, Why do you call me Lord and not do the things which I say? Luke 6:46. Even Apostle John of the Bible described Satan who deceives the whole world; Revelation 12:9. Folks we are going to experience the most horrific and traumatic events in all human history. Jesus again said for in those days there will be tribulation continued such as has not been since the beginning of time nor ever shall be; Mark 13:19. Folks America does not fear God and in our blind society will not accept his laws. As these events start happening folks they will have a massive effect on our lives. Ask God for understanding and courage to prove to yourself the truth. Please folks surrender to the God of the Bible. Thank you.

When I got my senses back, it didn’t take long and I was up moving around, going up and down the hallways having wheelchair races with my cousin. With that neck brace on (the Halo), I was in no pain. The healing process had begun. There were a few problems, like I couldn’t pick my right arm up. I could slide it around but not pick it up. And I couldn’t swallow without a lot of pain. I guess them moving my throat around just had everything out of whack. One day my cousin came over to see me and I got this great idea. If I could only eat something that would open up my throat, everything would be alright. So, I asked him to go and get me a hamburger. The hospital had good food. Maybe the doctor had told them to give me soft food, I don’t know. All I know is I couldn’t swallow. So, off my cousin went and got me a Big Mac. We sat there for a minute and tried to think of what could happen if I choked. We thought for a minute and then waited for a nurse to walk by the door. Knowing that a nurse was close, I took a bite. Yea I swallowed it but, oh my God did that hurt. I waited a minute and tried another. This one didn’t hurt so bad, so another and then another. It worked, I could swallow without pain. Maybe I should have been a doctor. It wasn’t long and the doctors wanted to release me. The x-rays showed that the bones were staying in place, so they wanted to send me home. So after a few more days, home I went. There I was with this big neck brace on and a half shaved head. The first thing my mom did was cut my hair so it looked better. In a few days I was beginning to get my strength back. My arm was getting so that I could pick it up. I couldn’t pick anything up with it, but I could pick it up. It took about six months before I could pick anything up with it. After being home a couple of weeks, I thought it might be nice to get all of the guys together that were with me when I broke my neck. They all came over and we just sat there and talked about how lucky I was and how they just thought I had broken my collar bone. I told them about all the people that I had met in the hospital. About the ones with broken necks who had died or had been paralyzed. How the doctors told me that if I had just looked down that day at the lake, I would have been paralyzed. Then I asked which one knew enough to hold my neck up and keep me from looking down. How did they know that I would have been paralyzed? How did they know that if I had looked down, that I might have even died? They all just looked at me and stared. What do you mean they asked? No one held your head. We didn’t know you had broken your neck. We just thought you had broken your shoulder. Come on guys, someone held my neck. Now who did it? Quit fooling around. You probably saved my life. Still, no one held your neck they argued. No one. I look back on those times and think how very lucky I was. I wonder who did hold my neck? Were the guys just fooling around? The sweet peace I felt that day as I began to look down has never been back. One day, I will find out who held my neck. And I hope that I have earned the right to see him face to face…

Vernon Clyde Hollingsworth, Jr, age 85, of Arcadia, FL, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Arcadia. Clyde was born August 24, 1931 in Arcadia, Fl. He was a graduate of DeSoto High School, Class of 1949. Clyde was owner and operator of the VCH Ranch-Citrus and Cattle. He was very active in the running of the operation. He enjoyed just riding over the land and seeing God’s handiwork. Clyde’s most cherished moments were simple. He loved spending time with his family. He loved riding his pastures and watching the grass grow and his cattle. His employees were not employees but his extended family. The evenings were spent riding over the day’s accomplishment in the pastures, groves, and cattle. Clyde enjoyed fly fishing, listening to music, feeding people, and helping others. Clyde was an active member of the Pine Level United Methodist Church, Pine Level, FL. Clyde had a ranch in Texas and would spend quality time enjoying and developing his ranch in Texas. He was lay minister for 30 years, and instrumental in the building of “Barker Hall”, the addition of Pine Level United Methodist Church that has been the worship center for the youth at Pine Level United Methodist Church. Survivors are, his beloved wife, Betty Hollingsworth, Arcadia, FL, three daughters, Lynn H. Mills, Lou (Brian) Hoopingarner, and Beth Thornton, all of Arcadia, FL, one son Vernon Clyde Hollingsworth III, also of Arcadia, FL, nine grandchildren, Kirby Hollingsworth, Abi Hollingsworth, Vernon C. Hollingsworth IV, Matt Mills, Chris Mills, Josh Mills, Eddie Thornton, Eli Thornton, Jake Thornton, and one great grandchild, Lily Mills. Clyde is proceeded in death by his parents, Vernon Clyde “Mose” and Abby Harrison Hollingsworth and a son Eddie Hollingsworth. Visitation will be conducted from 10:00am until 11:00am, Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Barker Hall, Pine level United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00am at Pine level United Methodist Church, with Rev. Roy Arms, Rev. Brian Russell, and Rev. Max Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Level Campground Cemetery. James was a veteran of the U. S. Army, attaining the rate of Command Sergeant Major. He was an avid NASCAR fan. James was a member of the AMVETS and the VFW. He enjoyed playing the guitar, and listening to Blue Grass music. Survivors are his beloved wife, Gina Bright, Arcadia, FL, a son, James Louis (Addie) Howk, Chaparral, New Mexico, step daughters; Kimberly Ann (Jody) Walker, Winchester, VA, Trina Lynn (David) George, Woodstock, VA, a brother Charles Anderson, Pinellas Park, FL, three grandchildren. In 1974 Ed and Ron Kays merged forming Kays-Ponger Funeral Homes and still remains. In addition to the funeral homes, they built Royal Palm Memorial Gardens and Southeastern Crematory. In 2005 after a brief retirement Ed and his daughter Allyson continue to own and operator Ponger-KaysGrady Funeral Homes in Arcadia and Wauchula, FL. For many years Ed enjoyed bowling, playing golf and coaching slow pitch softball. If you need a lifeline for a quiz show he knew every baseball team, the players and their stats, especially the Cincinnati Reds! Four years ago, Ed moved to Arcadia where he enjoyed taking care of his “little ranch” which to him was a slice of heaven. Feeding the horses, bush hogging the pastures, fixing a fence and trimming a tree was surely a labor of love.
He is survived by his wife Joyce E. Ponger of Arcadia, FL.; three daughters Allyson (Douglas) Christ of Arcadia, FL.; Susan (Jack) Bogardus and Marianne (Tommy) White all of Port Charlotte, FL.; granddaughter Jacquelyn (Anthony) Freeman of Arcadia, FL.; grandsons Erik (Alison) Sheridan of Gulf Cove, FL, Jason (Michelle) Dill, Tim (Melissa) White, Brett (Morrisa) White all of Punta Gorda, FL. Greatgrandchildren Madyson, Olivia, Trey and Ashton. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the Punta Gorda chapel of Kays-Ponger-Uselton Funeral Homes and 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Arcadia chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Arcadia, 1006 N. Brevard Ave., Arcadia with Rev. Ellis Cross , Rev. Charlie Watts and Rev. Matt Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia.
