Spring is heating up, Summer is just around the corner, and even though Atlanta is slowly opening up, it is clear that this season will look vastly different from last year. The important thing is that we are all quickly adjusting to and learning to live in a new normal. Like Jason Tichenor, who, after serious consideration, decided to reopen his business (page 24). Or how about the annual Pride Run, which has now become a virtual fundraiser instead (page 8), and the recording artist Big Dipper who has switched just about all of his projects to be online and digital (page 10). New normal indeedy. Since this issue is about heating things up, we also give you sexy Bel Ami model Viggo Sorensen, the new face (and body) for AddictedUSA (page 12). That and so much more in this sizzling issue of Peach.

Atlanta Pride Run Virtual 5K Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the Atlanta Pride Run set for June 20, 2020, has been converted into a virtual running event that will still raise money for the Atlanta-area HIV healthcare agencies. Lace up your shoes and join the virtual effort to support the community – registration is already open, and you have until June 28th to submit your time online for your walk, jog, or skip. The Virtual Atlanta Pride Run & Walk 5K is still partnering with Joining Hearts to raise money for Atlanta-area HIV healthcare agencies that need our support now more than ever. Last year, 100% of the money raised went to the beneficiary, AID Atlanta. As the economy continues to be impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, people living with HIV, and others, are looking to organizations like AID Atlanta to help secure their lifesaving treatments and medication. As a result, local Atlanta-area HIV healthcare agencies and organizations are needing more resources to continue to provide assistance. Your support helps provide access to HIV medications to those individuals and communities.

Big Dipper
The LA recording artist, performer, and producer, Big Dipper, continues his upward trajectory – even during a global pandemic – with a new live show, a soon-to-bereleased EP, and his award-winning podcasts. Peach caught up with the busy bear to talk about how he keeps so productive. How have you been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown? As a performer, nightlife, concerts, and Pride events are the main places that I perform. My summer shows all got canceled, and everything got moved online to the digital space. There’s been a bit of a learning curve for me to perform online. I record myself all the time when I produce my music videos, but a “live” one-take digital performance using only what I have in my apartment is a whole new ball game. It’s been fun to challenge my creativity and to do new things as an artist and performer.

You are still very busy with a lot of projects - how have you adjusted your way of working in the new normal? I’m really lucky that so much of the producing work I do can be done online. We are recording Race Chaser with Alaska and Willam remotely and also making new episodes of my podcast with Meatball: SLOPPY SECONDS. I’ve also been preparing the release of my new EP and getting my new music videos edited as well. So I have tons of things to work on at home. I’m also working on some choreography with a friend of mine in Brooklyn and just trying to keep motivated and productive.

Tell us about your collaboration with GROWLR and your new weekly show Big Dipper Live? I’m super excited to be a part of the launch for the new live feature on GROWLR. I know so many people who use the app, and when I’m traveling for shows, I have met people through the app from all over the world. So I was really happy to try out the live feature and connect with people. My weekly live show is just an opportunity for me to talk with people, answer questions, and I really love the Guest Broadcast feature where you can chat one-on-one within the livestream. So I can take questions in the moment from other users on the livestream. I was really happy GROWLR wanted to work with me; it’s exciting that they are launching new features in their tech!
not aggressive. I believe wholeheartedly in loving myself and celebrating my body, but that isn’t the reason I make music or why I perform. The messaging is just a byproduct of me being myself and sharing my music and videos with the world. I’m happy to be a spokesperson for thicc hairy guys because I think we are sexy. I think people respond well because I don’t take myself too seriously, and I’m not shoving anything down anyone’s throat.
Besides your new show with GROWLR, what other exciting projects can we expect from the Big Dipper? I’m very excited to announce that I have a new EP coming out on May 27. This is my first project since 2018. The Ham and Cheese EP has five songs that I made with my producer friend So You were recently almost Drove (we made the in Atlanta when you hosted song Lookin together from a virtual Bearracuda dance my 2018 album Late party and bulge contest. Bloomer). The EP has What is your connection to some really fun features on the Bearracuda party? it, and I’m really proud of Lol. I guess you could say I all the songs! Also, along was recently almost in a lot of places... with the EP, I’m going to release a music but yeah, I was excited to host Bearracuda video on May 27 as well! on 5/16 and judge the bulge contest! I’m friends with Matt, who throws those Ok, where can we get more of Big Dipper? parties, and I’ve hosted and performed at In addition to my GROWLR account a few of his parties in the past. I’m also “Big Dipper,” I’m also constantly on my good friends with Mateo Segade, who is Instagram @bigdipperjelly. one of the resident DJs. Have you ever been to Atlanta (we have a great bear scene here)? I have been to Atlanta and DJed at the Eagle a few times. I’ve never performed there...that I can remember, but I’m sure I would have a lovely time. Why do you think people respond so well to your message of body positivity? Hmmm. I think my “message of body positivity” is well received because it’s
Viggo Shares His ‘Secret’ By Mike Bahr
Typically, adult models work behind-the-scenes after their modeling days are over. Not Viggo Sorensen. The semi-professional breakdancer was moonlighting as a cameraman for Bel Ami for a full year before deciding to make the move to in front of the camera.

This month, Viggo Sorensen can check one more item off his bucket list. He is the new face and body for Addicted Swimwear’s Secret collection. We spoke with the Bel Ami star- turned swimwear model from his home in the Czech Republic.
The new campaign is called “Secret”. What is your deepest, darkest secret? I’m extremely shy! Seriously! I’m always afraid to approach a guy I would like to date. Also, I’m stupid with the The ambitious man has trusting lots of things he wants wrong peoto see and experiences ple. he wants to do while he’s still young and strapping, including fashion modeling. “It wasn’t something I had even considered doing,” he admits, “but I’ve always liked being different, pushing myself to live an interesting life that is unlike anything my friends or anyone else I know is doing.”
Tell us about your childhood. I grew up in a small city in the Czech Republic, where I still live, actually. I was a very happy kid with my two brothers. We played with our Pokemon cards, bay blades, and my all-time favorite thing to do was ride my motorcycle with my Grandpa. We lived in a small apartment until I was five, which was hard on my mom because I was a handful, always full of energy. She would go crazy, spending the whole day with me!
me down! I would come home and fall right to sleep, which made her happy. Were you trained as a gymnast? My mom always wanted me to do gymnastics, but no, I never pursued formal training. Who was your first boy crush? Honestly, growing up, I was oblivious to things like that. I started my sexual life pretty late.
To get some relief, she enrolled me in Are you dating now? sports at a young age. She would send me No. to train ten times a week in order to calm

What kind of hijinks have you two gotten into? We partied every night at the Maldives Flirt4Free summit. At one point, we were wrestling, and he ripped my earring out! I haven’t worn earrings since. Do you have any tattoos? None and I probably won’t ever get any. What superstitions do you believe in? What goes around comes around. I’m a definite believer in karma. Beyonce, Billie (Eilish), Barbra (Streisand)… who is the real queen B? Honestly, I only know Beyonce. The other two could be Spanish villages, as far as I know. Who is the unlikeliest person that you follow on Instagram? Donald Trump is the first name that comes to mind. What would a film of your life be called, and who would star as you in it? The Storymaker because I don’t wait for things to happen in my life. I’m the designer of my destiny. Matthew McConaughey would play me.
Who are your heroes? I don’t have any specific heroes in my life. I look up to people who work hard to achieve their goals and lead interesting, happy lives. If I were to choose from men in the adult industry that I admire, they would be Paul Cassidy, Sven Basquiat, and Alam Wernik. You find a magic genie bottle. What are your three wishes? Find love for life, travel the world, and play sports until I’m all gray. Which celebrity would you most like to slide into your DMs, and why? Honestly, I would like any and every celebrity to slide into my DM because I like to get to know interesting people and hear their stories. You’re about to be hit by a truck (sorry). What flashes before your eyes? All things I wanted to do and never took a chance on.
What does your gravestone read? He lived hard and loved every second of it.
What makes you smile? Good food, beautiful nature views, the night sky, and funny people. View Viggo Sorensen’s first swimwear modeling shoot at AddictedUSA.com What makes you angry? Stupidity and insincerity.

BACK
IN THE
Georgia is in the process of opening back up, and the first wave of businesses that had restrictions lifted were hair salons. Peach spoke to salon owner, Jason Tichenor, about his decision to open back up, his challenges, and how it is to work under our new normal. How did the COVID-19 pandemic and shutdown impact your business? The impacts are significant, considering I work in direct contact with other people. When the “Shelter In Place” order was given, I was out of business. I chose not to make house calls because it was important to be part of the solution at this time, not part of the problem. It was, however, the first time I was unable to support myself. And worse, reliant on government assistance. Neither are challenges I thought I would ever face in my professional life. Was the decision to re-open difficult after Governor Kemp opened Georgia? I wasn’t given much of a choice in the matter. The facts where that I had been without income for over a month and had received no Unemployment or PPP assistance to date. My phone was blowing up, and the rent was coming back up for my loft space less than two weeks after governor Kemp’s press conference, whether I chose to go back to work or not. It was also shocking to me that in order to re-open under CDC guidelines, I was mandated to procure the same PPE for my clients, that hospitals are currently struggling to keep stocked. My decision was made even more complex by the amount of conflicting information the media consistently, inconsistently reports. And as much as I want to contribute to the recovery of our economy, I feel this lack of guidance has left small business owners like myself with liability and risk that can’t even be properly measured. It’s absurd. How was receiving the first clients in the salon under the new CDC guidelines? And having been back working, how is the new normal? Surreal is the most accurate way to describe it. I am normally very affectionate with my clients, and it is strange when all I can touch is their hair. Also strange is when I’m not working directly over them, we are staring at each other from across the room through masks. No one really knows how to act, so it’s like everyone’s first visit. Only being able to have one guest at a time is another example of the adjustments for both me and my clientele. It is usually a much more social environment. It still feels very new because so much of what
CHAIR By Mikkel Hyldebrandt
the protocol calls for is in conflict with the nature of the services I provide. I have followed the CDC guidelines precisely all the same. I am also Barbicide Certified, which is the industry standard for in-salon sanitation. That said, there is still no way to guarantee total safety, so I think it will take some time to feel any essence of true normalcy. What are the lessons learned during the crisis? I have learned that adaptability is the key. The conditions we once worked under are different now, which means our work strategies have to change as well. I also have a new level of gratitude for my business, knowing there are so many that will never re-open. What advice can you give businesses yet to re-open? My advice to anyone who has yet to re-open is only to do so when you feel you can conduct your business with the same consideration and care you would for your family. Keep yourself informed and follow the recommendations made by the CDC. Most importantly, give yourself some grace. We are evolving. Try not to lose focus on why you do what you do in your efforts to do everything “right,” and do the best you can for yourself and your customers. tichenorhairdesign.com Instagram and Facebook @tichenorhair

SCORPIO (OCT. 23 - NOV. 21) Your peaceful home life may be shattered by an unsettling revelation today. This could lead to tantrums and outbursts that would embarrass even a fussy toddler. But you may have to live with the fact that your ex sold your best wigs online, and he is keeping the money for himself.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 22 - DEC. 21) A creative give-and-take at home can be enhanced if you keep yourself open to new ideas today. Staying close-minded will hinder progress and keep that redecorating project from being completed. Sometimes you like stirring the pot just for the dramatic effect, but today it won’t be either endearing or cute – plus you need the project, so you keep the peace and balance while you are both still working from home!
GEMINI (MAY 21 - JUN. 20)
CAPRICORN (DEC. 22 - JAN. 19)
You may meet someone today who forces you to reexamine some of your tightly held convictions. As long as you maintain your perspective, it is all okay too entertain different viewpoints. So challenge yourself a little today, and listen to what others may suggest for you – you may end up enjoying yourself and expanding your horizons.
While in lockdown, you may have started thinking of changing aspects of yourself in an effort to be more attractive to guys. Just avoid a total reinvention, and make it a gradual process, so it is doable and believable – and can be done with home workouts! Remember, it’ll look weird if you emerge the shelter in place looking like the new version of Adele – no one will recognize you!
CANCER (JUN. 21 - JUL. 22)
AQUARIUS (JAN. 20 - FEB. 18)
Relating intellectually to friends today will be like trying to explain the plot of Game of Thrones to a roomful of kittens. Your efforts will result in glazed stares and dumbfounded looks. But, ever the trooper, you’ll push on - even after they cuddle up to and fall asleep.
Today you’ll shine with a brilliance that can only mean one thing: You’re in love! That’s all you’ll talk about and it won’t take long for people to get sick of hearing about it. Keep in mind today that your new love is only important to you, and others really couldn’t care less. Plus, how did you even fall in love while being in quarantine?!
LEO (JUL. 23 - AUG. 22)
PISCES (FEB. 19 - MAR. 20)
You may meet someone today whose ego is bigger than yours, if that’s even possible. The resulting clash of the titans will be epic in proportion. There’s no telling who will win this battle, but you’re willing to concede defeat if he’s cute and makes more money than you.
Be open to change and today could be fun and productive. We are all carefully stepping back into the world again, but fall back on welltrodden ways and the new day will be predictable and dull – not to mention unsafe! Bring this mindset to romance today, and you could meet someone different who will be nothing like your mistakes from the past.
VIRGO (AUG. 23 - SEP. 22)
ARIES (MAR. 21 - APR. 19)
Changes at home may disrupt the delicate balance you have built up during weeks and weeks of quarantine. This will leave you disoriented and confused, but schnap out of it, like Cher would say! Life is change, baby, and you’ll feel better about it if you just roll with it.
You may be smitten with a new guy you met recently, and he’ll be all you think about today. You’re so love-struck you may find yourself making plans for your future together. You’d go as far as filling out a bridal registry at CB2 if only you knew his name and had actually talked to him besides staring intently at each other from behind your face masks at the supermarket.
LIBRA (SEP. 23 - OCT. 22)
TAURUS (APR. 20 - MAY 20)
You’ll hope today that an intellectual connection leads to a more physical one. But don’t get your hopes up, as this is an easy mistake to make. Creative collaboration can be stimulating, but just because someone shares their brain and visions with you doesn’t mean they’re also willing to share their body..
Besides social distancing, too much flamboyancy often keeps you from enjoying the gay social scene. Which is a pity since there are so many eligible guys out there who fill your stringent requirements. Just because they’re wearing a dress, a little make-up, and are comfortable with their feminine sides, doesn’t make them any less of a man. Rather, the fact that you think it does, says more about what kind of man you are.

I have been isolating with my boyfriend for the past many weeks, and we seem to have hit a wall. At first, it was kind of exciting to be isolated together, and we had lots of sexy time, but now things have kind of fizzled. I struggle with depression, and the monotonous state of life has made me unmotivated to work out, and I stress/anxiety eat a lot more. But I also feel that spending this much time together has brought us closer, so the other day we were talking about why we weren’t having sex anymore. He mentioned that it turns him off that I was depressed and moody and that I had let myself go and gained weight. I am devastated about this, and I really struggle with the fact that I am too unattractive (inside and out) to have sex with. I appreciate his honesty, and I know he loves me, but how do I move on from this? A little help, please? Sincerely Moment of Truth Dear Moment of Truth Good thing: you have a partner who is honest with you. Bad thing: he could easily have cut you a little bit more slack when it comes to our current state of the world. Especially if he is a long-term partner. We live in unprecedented times, and we are all adjusting and learning how to react to all of this uncertainty. If you are also struggling with depression, you have more things stacked against you, and he should be a little more sensitive to that. Weight gain is often a touchy subject, but even if you gained 20 pounds during quarantine, it wouldn’t be a distorting amount of weight on most body types – you would just be a little thicker. Again, he should give you a bit more leeway, because that weight can fairly easily come off, and either way, you should lose weight for your own well-being and not because he sets stringent restrictions on (your) body image. When it comes to your depression, there are things you can do to feel better: meditation and exercise both work to center and focus you, and if you feel the need for counseling, there are several excellent online services that can help you with 36 | follow us @ peachatlmag
your state of mind. Finally, you can talk to your boyfriend about what HE can do better, so all the improvement doesn’t weigh on your shoulders alone. Perhaps you can work out together or work on creating an anxiety-free space where you can talk openly with each other. He should be engaging in improving your relationship, as well!
My boyfriend and I are separated by the coronavirus. We are still in college, and we’ve had to move home because of the pandemic, which puts us thousands of miles apart. Since we can’t have sex, we have tried sexting, pics, and videos, and he loves it, but it makes me sad. It’s like I get turned on in the moment, but after I just miss him so much that I cry about it. I haven’t told him how emotional our sexting makes me because I am afraid that it will somehow change our relationship if we don’t even have virtual sex. So how do I get over this? Are there alternatives? Sincerely All Talk All Distance Dear All Talk All Distance Not everyone is into screen-based sexual activity, and that is quite okay. Besides sexting, you could do ‘live’ video chat or even write each other erotic letters – but both would probably leave you just as emotional. You can take this involuntary break as an opportunity to work on your sexual relationship in other ways. If there is anything you want to explore or maybe repair, now is the time to engage in sexy conversations with your boyfriend that isn’t focused on getting off virtually. And finally, please remember that this is temporary, and if you stay connected, you will see each other again – and just imagine the sexual release you will have once you get to feel and touch each other again!
