Jonny McGovern’s New OUTtv Show Shines Spotlight on the Other Stars of the Gay Club By Jason Salerno boy. We developed star dancers and worked with new Jonny McGovern and his bestie, Greg McKeon, are on guys on how to be successful on the box. It was more the hunt for America’s next champion GoGo superstar than simply a party; it was a community of guys that star in OUTtv’s hilarious new competition series, GoGo wanted to entertain and put on a show. for the Gold. They have assembled a diverse cast of GoGos that encompass a wide range of body types How did you come up with the concept for GoGo for from masculine hunks to thick bears, smooth twinks the Gold? and even one trans man! The winner will receive a $10k cash prize and the title of America’s Jonny: And then we heightened the dilemma, added #1 champion GoGo superstar star. The competition will tongue in cheek elements and some dramatic twists to be fierce! amp up the obstacles for TV. What makes GoGo for the Gold different from all other reality competition shows on TV? Greg: The GoGo dancers! There’s never been a reality competition show that showcases the talents of the GoGo boy. GoGo Dancers bring the energy and flavor to nightclubs and festival events all around the world.

What can fans expect from the first season? Greg: Expect a lot of humor, drama, fun and maybe even a few tears shed along the way. We have an incredibly diverse cast of GoGo boys competing for the $10k prize. They exhibit very different styles, body types, gender expressions, but all have tons of talent.

Jonny: Queer pop culture has spent the past fourteen years celebrating the queens on Drag Race; now it’s time to shine the spotlight on the other stars of the gay club. GoGo boys serve the looks. Like the queens, they have star quality and tons of personality. They come in all types and styles and best of all, they bring the drama.

Who are the GoGo Gods? Jonny: They are the judges of the competition, led by Greg, of course. They will judge the GoGos based on four main criteria: Fantasy, Body, Dance and Individuality.

Greg: GoGos today are more than dancers. They are also influencers, models, nightlife representatives How did you get into GoGo-ing, Greg? and stars. The hardest part for me, as a judge, will be Greg: I started GoGo dancing the day I turned 21. I eliminating the boys. GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen shares her highly anticipated new single “Western Wind.” Produced by Rostam Batmanglij “Western Wind” is available now at all digital retailers via 604/Schoolboy/Interscope Records. “Western Wind” inhabits a warm and hypnotic atmosphere achieved through a delicate tapestry of elements: sunlit guitar tones, soulful piano melodies, the luminous textures of Hammond B3 organ, an elegant patchwork of percussion. Graced with Jepsen’s radiant vocal work, the result is a spellbinding backdrop to her lyrical storytelling, infusing the song’s mood of nostalgia and longing with a lovely euphoria. Like all her output to date — such as her critically lauded and culture-shaping 2015 album E*MO*TION — “Western Wind” embodies a charmed quality that invites a certain daydreaming on the part of the listener. As Jepsen reveals, the song emerged from the deep solitude of quarantine, a period of time that compelled her toward her most introspective songwriting yet. Complementing the beauty of the song is an equally stunning video shot in the natural elements of Southern California by Taylor Fauntleroy. The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and on the Paramount Times Square billboards.” Last month, Jepsen made waves by performing “Western Wind” during her highly celebrated set at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The song’s debut earned immediate attention from leading music outlets, including Pitchfork, Stereogum, and The FADER. Co-written by Jepsen and Batmanglij, “Western Wind” continues a collaboration the two musicians first kicked off with E*MO*TION. A major creative milestone for Jepsen, E*MO*TION inspired in-depth analysis from cultural critics and landed on multiple year-end “best of” lists including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Noisey, NPR, and many more. Released in 2019, her follow-up album Dedicated covered even more musical and emotional ground. Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers (among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe), Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. She returned the following May with a gift for her fans: Dedicated Side B, a buoyant set of dance-floor tunes that affirmed her status as pop’s undefeatable ambassador of love. Much more to come from Carly Rae Jepsen in 2022.

ARIES: You are not aware of how much you have been changing lately but you have been aware of how others around you are interpreting you. If you can take a moment to see yourself, then you’ll be able to see why people are treating you different.

LIBRA: Working with someone else is going to be a roller coaster of a ride for you this week. A project that is majorly important or a family interaction could become a bit dicey, but keep your cool and work through it.

TAURUS: You are an innovator but you have hit a brick wall lately. Because of this you need to find inspiration somewhere and QUICK. Work is about to ramp up and you need to revitalize a project you have coming up!

SCORPIO: You crave new experiences and you crave to have a good time on YOUR terms, but this week you are going to realize that you are at the mercy of other forces… beyond your control. This too shall pass.

GEMINI: Take a breather and sit down to plan some down time for yourself and your loved one to travel. Get out and see the world. You have been working so hard that you definitely deserve a bit of a break.

SAGITTARIUS: Your home life is demanding a lot from you this week and you want to focus on work to avoid the stresses at home. However, if you continue to avoid the stressors what could happen to the family dynamic?

CANCER: You have been living two separate lives within your social circle. You have your friends that know how crazy you can be and your friends that you feel would judge. It’s time to analyze: are they really your friends?

CAPRICORN: You need to express yourself in the office a bit this week, Cap. You have been hiding who you truly are for so long that you dont even know how to behave around your coworkers naturally. Be authentic and let them see who you are.

LEO: You have an intense dynamic that is weighing on you this week. Your psyche is struggling to handle the amount of stress that you are under currently and you dont know what to do. Maybe it’s time to really focus on mental health and talk to someone.

AQUARIUS: Sorting out your money and family issues are going to be the main focus this week. Maybe in this instance both are combined to make one massive stress in your life that once figured out, it will be a-okay.

VIRGO: You may feel pressured to do something with someone close to you that isn’t within your budget. Just because you want to spend time with someone doesn’t mean you have to break the bank to do so.

PISCES: Your patience is paper thin this week but don’t blow up at anyone, PLEASE! You have some important folks coming in and out of your life this week. If you decide to blow up it might be with the wrong person.

Dear Peach, I feel like I am burning out socially and I dont want to go out anymore. How can I make sure that I can maintain some sense of social life while also making sure that I am taking care of my mental health when I cannot or dont want to actually be around people in a busy social setting?

Anxiety is something that is super common. Especially since the onset of Covid about two years ago. After being in isolation for so long people have honestly forgotten how to interact with one another and how they can be social. When all of our social life was through Zoom, Social Media, or texting/Facetime it makes things incredibly awkward when we go out and try to see friends that we are just now reconnecting with. This is what I do: I try to make sure that I check in with myself throughout the evening. Noone is saying for you to avoid going out if you are feeling anxious because being around people that you truly do enjoy might ease some of that anxiety for you, but you need to be aware of how you are feeling at all times. If for whatever reason you need to leave because you are exhausted mentally or emotionally, then excuse yourself and explain yourself later. If your friends are truly close friends then they might already know what is going on and feel more comfortable knowing you needed to step away for your sanity. But you should never think that you are alone in this feeling. It is incredibly common.
