HERETIC DILF DEEP ATLANTA
Peach Scene @
Mike Bradley is one of Atlanta’s most respected DJs, he began his music career as a classically trained clarinetist. His understanding of instrumentals and the evolution of classical music aided the development of his effortless maneuvering behind the decks. His expertise in music theory and expansive music library took hold of his music career, leading him to experiment with clever landscaping sounds and expanding his knowledge within distinct music genres, finding ways for breaking the rules. A misfit to society's standards, he breaks down the barriers landing unexpected blends of Techno, Tech House, and House. Mike became a DJ during the height of the Orlando music scene after taking influence from such artists as Sasha, John Digweed, Chris Fortier, Green Velvet, and Terry Lee Brown Jr. He dedicated his time to claiming his eclectic sound, experimenting across the spectrum of bouncy vocal snippets and taking his listeners into deep dives of sexy beats and bass lines. PEACH. How would you describe your sound? MB: I have a variety of sounds depending on the venue and my mood. I range from deep tech house, house, Sassy beats, to dark twisted techno. I like danceable and sophisticated music that make you shake your ass! PEACH: Are there any artists that you currently have on repeat or you’re inspired by? MB: I attended a queer festival in Mexico and just returned from Movement in Detroit and have been inspired by the both experiences. At Movement The DJ Minx stage that showcased artist like Honcho and DJ Minx which is pretty fantastic for the queer community. The producers I’m digging right now are Christian Burkhardt, Alan Fitzpatrick, Caravaca, and for some Indie dance Whitesquare. PEACH: What makes for a great set? MB: As a DJ, it’s when I connect with the crowd and create a moment is when it’s the best. It’s fun to talk with someone that remembers the music I played at party and comments about it years later. PEACH: What’s a favorite venue that you’ve played where the crowd always brings good energy? MB: Banshee always has a cute vibe. It’s more about the Promoters. When I’ve played for Alley Cat Music Club the vibe and party is always on point. It’s a diverse mixed crowd that gets down. I’ve also had multiple residencies at Midcity café and hope to be back there soon. PEACH: What does Pride mean to you as a LGBTQ+ DJ? MB: As a queer DJ that doesn’t usually play in “gay” clubs it gives me an opportunity to express myself. It also reminds me of how lucky we are to the people that paved the way for mor equality.

PRIDE NIGHT
Article by: Chris Gonzalez LaCorte It was a great evening for the Braves as they won their their match on Wednesday June 22nd against the SF Giants, 3 - 4 Braves. As fans descended upon The Battery the jerseys and pearls were on full display in celebration of the World Series champs, but there were also hints of rainbow strutting around the stadium as the team hosted their annual Pride Night at the Coca Cola Roxy prior to opening pitch. Fans of all different backgrounds, ages, and gender expressions showed up to celebrate Pride Month at the Roxy with DJ Kimber spinning tracks in the Pride themed space. Lines were long, energy was high, and the number of attendees was astronomical as the Senior VP of Marketing Adam Zimmerman beamed with enthusiasm before a brief interview with me outside the venue. Peach: Awesome! Talk to me about where the Peach: Tell me what Pride Night means to proceeds are going for Pride Night. AZ: It’s going to Lost & Found, which has been the Braves and the staff at the Battery! AZ: Its important; you saw the energy that we our partner for the past several years and the have in there. It grows every year. 2500 is our good news is that every year we are able to number this year, I believe and what Derek hand over a bigger check. mentioned inside is a 365 day commitment. So, some new partnerships that we have Peach: So, also looking at numbers Pre Covid crafted: Hotlanta has been a great partner of and Post Covid because I was here last year… ours, the Georgia Out Business Alliance; we I think I parked on the opposite side of the are really excited to do some awesome things stadium and it was a much longer walk but with them this year. We have a lot of things being here it seems to be a lot busier this going on! We will be in the Pride Parade this year on this side of the stadium! year… AZ: Well I mean, we have just had tremendous attendance which is great. We are gonna have Peach: Oh, nice! 37-38,000 people here tonight, we sold out AZ: Yeah! Its really been fun and energizing for Monday night, Dodgers are back and Freddie the staff too. Freeman is back in town. So our numbers have been great. Now, granted winning the World Peach: How many people do you anticipate Series helps A LOT but its been cool because a that are part of the Battery and the Braves lot of people have experienced the Braves. They staff will be actively participating in the came out here, they get a sense of pride for the Pride Parade this year? team, they felt a part of it. That’s one of the AZ: Gosh. Probably… I dont know! There is so things we love… our campaign is called “For the much enthusiasm and we have a HUGE front A” and you saw that tonight with the rainbow “A” office that we invited everyone to come over. and all the different permutation of hats that So we have a ton of people who came over people wear. And this is who you are, and this is today to enjoy the party before we did game the team and you can design your own day responsibilities. Its been really energizing adventure! And so, we love seeing that happen for our team. here every night.
Peach: What do you think sets the Braves apart from other sports teams that claim to be very supportive of the LGBTQ community. What sets you guys apart from other teams who claim to be involved? AZ: Well, I am proud of Atlanta. I think Atlanta, us, the Falcons, United, the Hawks, the Dream…. We spend a lot of time together, we talk, we share great ideas, and we are proud of our city! Peach: That’s great. Can you talk a bit about what the trajectory looks like with the involvement with the LGBTQ community, Pride Parade, the business alliance, etc over lets say the next five years? AZ: Well, there’s a vibrant business community right? And that’s why we are really excited about working with Georgia Out Business Alliance and understanding how we can be of assistance to the community and the community can understand how they can use this asset. And, they’re business owners right? So come on out here, entertain clients, be a part of this atmosphere… so, what B to B things can we do there? Hotlanta Softball has been a great partner of ours. Here are people who are actively playing our game so how can we help and enable people who love the game of baseball and softball and just the consistency of 365 days a year internally and externally we are really proud of. Peach: So final little thing I wanna ask you, since our [some of our] readers couldn’t be here tonight, if you could describe the energy and what you’re seeing here tonight in one sentence… or multiple… there’s a lot of energy going around… what is the highlight of what you’re feeling tonight? AZ: Joy! Peach: Wow, you got it down to one word! That’s awesome. Thank you so much for your time. AZ: Thank you! Have fun tonight!

ARIES: Trust your moral compass, Aries. You more than anyone know who you are and what you stand for. Do not allow anyone else to try and change you for the sake of a relationship or anything else.
LIBRA: It's time to show who you truly are, Libra. You have a tendency to keep to yourself for protection. Whether it be the fear of failure or the general hesitation towards others, you haven't shown your true colors lately.
TAURUS: You are in a time of change this season, and you can feel it. You are confident in the person that you are about to become. You have some changes in mind for your future but you've been nervous to take the jump.
SCORPIO: Love is in the air for you, Scorpio. This season is all about opposites attract with you. So that might mean someone who has not been on your radar is now available and of interest. Take a chance and see what happens!
GEMINI: It is time for you to take a breather, Gemini. You have been pushing yourself so hard over the past few months that you need to focus on recharging and your selfcare. Remember saying no is okay.
CANCER: Call up your pals, Cancer! You have been neglecting them for a while now and it's time to reconnect. You have an amazing amount of energy this season, but it is going to go to waste if you don't find a good work/social life balance!
SAGITTARIUS: Take a seat and relax, Sagittarius! You are stressing far too much about things that are out of your control and it's time to settle down and breathe. Reach out for help on how to take care of your well-being and see how others are doing just that! CAPRICORN: You have to be vulnerable to be powerful, Capricorn. If you decide to keep these walls up, you will never truly be in control of your own destiny. This season you will disclose a fear, desire, or truth about yourself to someone who truly needs your guidance.
LEO: Put the pedal to the metal. You have the opportunity this season to really make your dreams a reality, and have people become inspired as they follow suit. You will enter a period of cleansing this season.
AQUARIUS: Find time to reconnect with your past, but be careful because you don't want anything negative to arise. Find things that bring you joy and allow you to reconnect with "home" whether it be your biological family or your chosen one.
VIRGO: Stay curious, Virgo! You have always been the forever student, and this season is no different. You have questions about new endeavors and things that you have really shown a keen interest in lately. Take those interests and curiosities and continue to grow and learn. It might come in handy soon!
PISCES: It is time for you to speak up, Pisces. You have kept your mouth shut for too long on something near to you. Speak up and let your voice be heard. This season is about living your truth, and that includes standing up for what you believe in.

GRAMMY-winning global superstar Kelly Clarkson has announced a blockbuster KELLYOKE EP – arriving Thursday, June 9th via Atlantic Records. Preceded today by a mighty rendition of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever,” the 6-track collection features new studio recordings of some of Clarkson’s favorite covers performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, ranging from modern hits to timeless classics. Since the premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2019, Kellyoke has become an institution in its own right with over 500 songs covered to date and counting. The fanfavorite segment sees Clarkson and her band, Y’all, turn audience requests and personal favorites into stunning performances that captivate viewers and the internet alike. A longtime staple of Clarkson’s live show, the series was helmed by her long-time music director Jason Halbert, who along with vocal director Jessi Collins expertly tailor the performances for what has been deemed “one of the best things to happen to daytime television” by Vulture and “wildly popular” by Billboard. “Music is in the DNA of everything I do, so when ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ started we knew it was the perfect way to kick off every episode. Over 500 songs later, and we’re still not running out of amazing artists to pay tribute to. Picking just six was near-impossible, but these songs have been some of my favorites. Thanks for singing along with me y’all!” – KELLY CLARKSON
KELLYOKE EP: 1. “Blue Bayou” (by Linda Ronstadt) 2. “Call Out My Name” (by The Weeknd) 3. “Happier Than Ever” (by Billie Eilish) 4. “Queen Of The Night” (by Whitney Houston) 5. “Trampoline” (by Shaed) 6. “Fake Plastic Trees” (by Radiohead)
Photo Credit: Shane McCauley Kelly Clarkson is among the most popular artists of this era with total worldwide sales of more than 25 million albums and 40 million singles. The Texas-born singer-songwriter first came to fame in 2002 as the winner of the inaugural season of American Idol. Clarkson’s debut single, “A Moment Like This,” followed and quickly went to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, ultimately ranking as the year’s best-selling single in the U.S. Further, Clarkson is one of pop’s top singles artists, with 19 singles boasting multi-platinum, platinum and gold certifications around the world, including such global favorites as “Miss Independent” and “Because of You.” Clarkson has released nine studio albums (Thankful, Breakaway, My December, All I Ever Wanted, Stronger, Wrapped In Red, Piece By Piece, Meaning of Life, When Christmas Comes Around…), one greatest hits album, and two children’s books (New York Times Top 10 best seller River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and the follow up River Rose and the Magical Christmas). She is the recipient of an array of awards including three GRAMMY Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, two American Country Awards, one Country Music Association Award, and two Daytime Emmy Awards. She is also the first artist to top each of Billboard’s pop, adult contemporary, country and dance charts. Clarkson is currently filming season 3 of her own multi-Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which has already been picked up for its 4th season.
Dear Peach, I feel like now that Pride Month is over, there is an absolute reversal of how involved people are with the community. We always wonder if people are truly involved in Pride Month because it’s in their actual interest or if people participate because it’s “the thing” to do that month… what should I do to get my mind right and not think everyone is fake celebrating Pride?
Well I think the common mindset has more to do with corporations running sales and discontinuing their products for Pride after the month has ended. Your friends and those around you who celebrate will celebrate regardless I’m sure. 1. 2.
There are two ways to go about life: You can choose to be involved in, bothered and manipulated by everyone around you because you’re more involved and interested by what they do… OR You don’t care and you’re not bothered by what others do.
The beauty behind option number 2 is that you get the opportunity to live your life drama free for the most part. People will try to drag you into it but you have the power to say no. And once you stop truly caring how other people live their lives, you begin to live yours more freely and authentically.
