About Apprenticeships There are three levels of Apprenticeships: I
Intermediate Level Apprenticeships

Advanced Level Apprenticeships
Apprentices work towards work-based learning qualifications such as a Level 2 Competence Qualification, Functional Skills and, in most cases, a relevant knowledgebased qualification.

Construction Operations Intermediate & Advanced Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? Our Construction Apprenticeship programmes establish a wide variety of construction skills. The Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship is suitable for new entrants as well as those who are already employed. Driving Goods Vehicles
(Van, Rigid Vehicle, Articulated or Drawbar Vehicle) Intermediate & Advanced Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? Transport service companies in England have reported a combination of skills gaps and shortages, including communication, literacy and numeracy and an ageing workforce. They will need approximately 100,000 staff in driving roles over the next 5 years to replace those who leave or retire to fill jobs as: • Motorcycle/cycle courier • Van driver • Rigid vehicle driver • Articulated/drawbar driver
The qualification will give new drivers the opportunity to enhance skills and be more aware of the Law surrounding the different types of vehicles. It looks at improving performance through driving, fuel consumption and the security of load of types of vehicles. Human Resources (HR) Higher Apprenticeships
Why this Apprenticeship? Human Resource Management is the specialist expertise that drives the people, their needs and requirements throughout an organisation. This Higher Apprenticeship is aimed at individuals with an interest in human resource management and want to understand why people act the way they do and how to best utilise natural human behaviour for the benefit of an organisation.
The programme runs for 12-15 months and the majority of apprentices are between the ages of 19 and 24. Infection Control Intermediate Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? The cost to health care or providing care for those with infections is huge. The NHS plan, published in 1999, stipulates that all NHS organisations have effective systems in place to tackle Health Care associated (HCA) in order to minimise the risk to patients and staff. Infection is a major cause of human suffering. Even minor infections can be serious or lead to major infections and in some instances death.
Prevention and control of infections are issues of great importance to health care workers and employers. Legal Services
Intermediate, Advanced & Higher Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? We have formed a consortium with the Chartered Institute for Legal Executives (CILEx), Damar Training and Skills for Justice, to deliver the UK’s first full Legal Service Apprenticeship pathway. This programme will develop junior staff from assistant and legal admin roles, right through to the fee earning paralegal positions.
Career Progression Some higher apprentices that show an aptitude for the business aspects of legal services, might do a management qualification and some may want to study further for CILEx qualifications to become a Chartered Legal Executive. Thereafter progression to solicitor is possible. 12 months minimum for Level 2 & 3 24 months minimum for Level 4

Advanced Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? Every organisation has to buy goods and services and this means that Supply Chain people work everywhere from global corporations to market stalls. Apprentices can work as Supply Chain Officers making sure goods are ordered and delivery of them is tracked. Advanced apprentices may work as Supply Chain Managers; ensuring suppliers are supplying or delivering goods correctly. Apprentices may also work as Supply Chain Specialists and will be responsible for critical evaluation and analysis of suppliers and contracts. Key skills you will learn include planning

Warehousing & Storage Intermediate Apprenticeships Why this Apprenticeship? The economy relies of the efficient movement of goods within the UK to ensure that goods arrive on time and in the right condition and warehousing and storage businesses play a crucial part in making this happen. If the wrong goods are packed and delivered, this affects customer satisfaction and the businesses’ profitability. The qualification has a direct level of progression for those that move into a supervisory or junior management position. Learners can expect to undertake a range of duties,
working alone or in a team, including loading/unloading of vehicles and selecting and packing customer orders, ensuring goods are ready for dispatch on time.
