were designed in USA from the ground up to be an electric bike. We have learned that you can not just convert a regular bike into an electric bike by putting a motor in the front wheel. The Pedego brand is superior to all other electric bikes because of the details in the design.
As the name implies, form and function are combined to provide a cool looking electric bike cruiser that is a comfortable alternative to the car or classical bicycle. Ride it to work, run your errands, get some exercise, or just get out there and have a good time. All models blend fashionable retro-cruiser style with high quality electric components to carry you quickly and easily to wherever you want to go.
While every part of this electric bike is tuned for style and perfection, the step-thru frame is really its boldest attribute. The sloping frame makes this electric bicycle especially convenient for both youngsters who might struggle with the size and adults or seniors who don’t want the hassle or worry of having to swing a leg over a taller bike frame.

OK, you can easily see that the balloon upgrades available for the Pedegos make the bikes look different but you are probably wondering if the balloon series is all about looking cool while you have fun or is there something deeper. The balloon upgrade is distinguished by padded hand stitched grips and a suspension seat (available in either brown, grey or black) along with Schwalbe “Fat Frank” tyres. The Schwalbe tyres come in your choice of black, crème or brown and all have their “Kevlar Guard” built into the tyre to help prevent flats. Schwalbe is the industries high performance tyre manufacturer. So not only does the balloon upgrade give you incredible looks but it delivers superior performance as well.
The difference is critical! Throttle activated means that you are in complete control of the amount of power you get from the motor. The throttle (similar to a motorcycle throttle) can be turned to give the motor a little bit of electricity, a lot, or anything in between. You can power the bike 100% by pedaling or let the motor completely power the bike and not have to pedal at all (great for if you are recovering from an illness or injury). You control the speed of the bike.
Pedal assist works through a sensor in the pedal crank that senses how hard you are pedaling and then applies additional power to the wheel. You must pedal for the motor to assist you. Pedal assist is required of electric bikes in Europe by law. We have added Pedal assist to all our bikes. The 5 levels of assist are controlled remotely via push buttons mounted next to the hand grip. We’ve also added a stylish LCD consol to display speed, battery capacity, power level, etc.

The seating position on our cruiser bikes is upright, allowing you to sit with a straight back in a comfortable position. One of the main reasons for this is the design of the frame, principally the steep angle of the seat pillar and forward position of the pedal crank. This means your feet are further forward relative to the saddle. By moving it forward, we have given the rider an ergonomically correct position for their fun rides; almost like sit- ting in your favorite comfy chair! Who doesn’t want to sit upright and feel comfortable while cruising on their Pedego?
Just wanted to point out this little but important fact. Most electric bikes have the battery pack mounted to a rack that is bolted to the bike. Wrong! Over time, the nuts and bolts will come loose and there will be a lot of rattles and noises coming from the rack. Sometimes, the racks even break. We know how to solve that problem; weld the rack right to the frame to eliminate rattles and make it strong!
Why? Because people who ride electric bikes will tend to go faster than they would on a regular bike. That extra speed needs the right braking power. ‘V’ brakes or caliper brakes don’t cut it for us. And we use Avid BB 7 disk brakes; some of the best in the industry!

The Pedego Trail Tracker is the ultimate off road electric bike experience. The design is based on a Fat bike so named for the large tyres with huge tread to allow the rider to take on sever off road adventures in style. We use fee rubber tires with 4 inch thick rims creating a look like no other electric bike. The Trail Tracker is powered by 600 Watt motor (or 250 Watts if you want to use it on the roads) and a 48 Volt battery pack, creating off road, hill conquering unadulterated fun.
