The building project aims to recover a degraded area of the city and offer the neighborhood a new cultural area. The volume was studied carefully to ensure the surrounding residences of privacy and does not harm the historic building in front of you. A large public area of leisure is designed underground, protected from the heat of the city, No floor has space equal, each space, and unique and relates to the courts in order to provide pleasant spaces to work.

The design aimed to search for energy efficiency and sustainability of the building itself. There was the maximum use of natural light, and perforated steel panels that repel excess sunlight. . There is rain water reuse and use of vertical gardens and landscaped courtyards in order to reduce the indoor temperature.

STUDENT HOUSING

ground floor with landscape project

1st floor

The student housing project seeks to be not only a bedroom but a place of exchange, social conviviality and search for knowledge and culture. The building is in a consolidated urban area with high density and few recreational areas. Brute materiality, with the predominance of exposed concrete, wood and corten steel, the building seems to levitate on stilts, home to the library, the entrance and a cafe. Over him a great path leads to the court inside the garden - a contemplative space - and a sculptural staircase leads the audience to the theater and exhibition hall in the basement. In building a large tear in the core allows physical and visual integration between all housing floors. Therefore, students can enjoy a large area of exchange relationships and yet each floor preserves a social area. The project leads to the neighborhood not only new residents, but a center of culture and a large recreation area.
