Introduction This book is going to be a pleasure writing and I am excited to be writing it. This book will tell you kind of a mixture of a bunch of westward expansion information, including Daniel Boone, Corps of Discovery, Louisiana purchase and other things. I hope that you will enjoy reading this westward expansion report and I hope that I will collect a lot of information to share with you. I hope you like my westward expansion.
Daniel Boone travels to Kentucky Daniel Boone was the first person from Britain to travel to what we now call Kentucky. He was born in on November 2, 1734 in a log cabin in 1767 Daniel Boone travels to Kentucky to explore. Daniels's spouse was Rebecca Ann Boone, they had 3 children named James, Israel, Susannah, James was born may 3rd, Israel was born January 25th, and Susannah was born the November 20th. Daniel died on September 26, 1820 because of natural causes. He was also known for being captured by the Native American tribe Shawnees in 1778. I thought that he was very brave, and strong to have lived there for about a month or so and escaped alive.
Fun facts about Daniel Boone 1. Daniel Boone was captured by the Native American shawnees in 1778
Original 13 colonies Do you know what the 13 colonies were? The 13 colonies were the start of the United States of America. They are called Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Delaware, Pensilvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia where the original 13 states, of the United States of America, known back then, The 13 Colonies. The 13 colonies have expanded a lot over the years and I should know because I have been studying very hard on it in this chapter.
Did you know that... Virginia was the first colonie to be purchased.
Population of the 13 colonies The population of the 13 colonies grew as more people arrived to the now growing United States of America. By 1776, about 85% of the white population was English, Irish, Scottish, or welsh descent, with 9% of the German origin and 4% Dutch. The growth in the 18th century was at a rapid rate because of the high birth rates, How does cholera effect a n d n o t m a n y deaths. humans? Many people died of cholora a disease that is 3. caused by having water or food with a bacterium c a l l e d Vi b r i o cholera. I have observed about my story that the population has been expanding very fast. 1. 2.
Bacteria will add up very quickly. The toxins from the bacteria penetrates the cells of the intestinal wall. The toxins prevent the intestine from absorbing water from the the digested food, diarrhea, and dehydration.
Louisiana purchase The Louisiana purchase was when Thomas Jefferson wanted to buy the Louisiana territory, because Louisiana had part of the trail that they needed to continue going west. They also had three rivers to transport goods to different parts of the Louisiana territory. This purchase was in between the United States and France, it was a land deal that happened in 1803 and France only wanted to sell Louisiana and New Orleans for 15 million dollars. So United States of America decided to buy both.
Corps of Discovery Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, also known as Lewis and Clark were the the leaders of the corps of discovery. This was when Thomas Jefferson sent Lewis to explore the land farther away or known as the Native American land. But Lewis decided to be accompanied by his older friend Clark. Because William Clark was a great survivor and hunter. The journey was very dangerous it lasted about 2 years, May 14th, 1804 - September 23, 1806. They started their journey in St. Louis Missouri. Sacajawea was a very important part of the corps of discovery. She was the one who translated first the language of the other Native American tribes and their language so the tribe knew what Lewis and Clark were saying. On the journey something interesting that happened was the reunion between Sacajawea and her brother. That happened when Lewis and Clark needed help crossing a river and they needed to talk, and because Sacajawea's brother was the leader of the tribe he had to met with them and it happens to be that they had Sacajawea with them at the time.
Conclusion Now this is not another chapter it is my thank you for reading my book about the 13 colonies expand. I enjoyed writing this book even if I had my ups and downs, I had lots of fun and I hope you had as much fun reading it than I did writing it. I am at the same time happy and sad to finish this writing, it's bitter and sweet at the same time. I hope that my next piece of writing in 5th grade has improved and that I have learned something from this one too. I hope you liked my piece of my writing and learned a thing or two about the 13 colonies.
