We are taking a stand for PLAY! We are suffering a Play Deficit and Peekaboo Beans is on a mission to provide ingredients for a playful life.

We believe that play is the backbone to learning and development. Playing teaches children about boundaries, evolves their imagination, connects them socially, builds their bodies and expands their thinking. Our Play Revolution was created to inspire both parents and children to respect the important role that play has in a child’s development.

It is because of the Play Revolution that Peekaboo Beans has partnered with Playground Builders - a grassroots organization that builds playgrounds in war-torn areas, giving the right to play for children who may have never experienced it in their lives.

With the help of our Independent Play Stylists, we have raised over $32,375 and built 5 playgrounds.

These playgrounds provide 25,000 children with a safe environment to play.

PLAY-ducation supports parents to raise happy, healthy Beans in this ever changing environment. Peekaboo Beans hosts a night out to grow and learn with industry experts speaking on a variety of important topics that support family values.

POP UP PLAYDATES Through our Pop Up Playdates we continue to spread the message of our Play Revolution and the need for unstructured, free play for our children to develop into healthy individuals. Design Inspiration Spring 2015 “Tropicana” will have you daydreaming of palm trees, pineapples and breezy beach play dates. Juicy details that are fresh and fun will have you going bananas for every last piece!

Our designers were feeling full of color and vibrant with ideas while relishing in island delights and paradise pizzaz. Rich saturations of Fuchsia, Violet, Grass Green, Paradise Blue and Aqua harness the island vibe! Snazzy prints add an element of play to this collection. Get back to nature with tropical creatures, sweet and sassy toucans, pink flamingos and sneaky iguanas.

But that’s not all! Peekaboo Beans doesn’t do “just stripes”. We add a playful twist: a custom designed, abstract zebra print, creating a playful mix and match option.

The Tropicana collection is a balance of geometric prints and stripes, that are truly full of zest!

Why Peekaboo Beans isn’t ordinary: Ethical Manufacturing We work closely with our Magic Bean Makers to ensure our clothes are made in a happy and healthy environment. Each year, members of our team make the trip overseas to see first-hand that labour laws and safety standards are upheld.

Custom Fabrics From raw fiber to finished garment, we customize the details of our fabric to be ready for safe and comfortable play. Our fabric is third party tested to guarantee that it is aligned with Oeko-tex Standard 100 for children’s fabric. This means our fabric does not contain harmful levels of heavy metals and other harsh additives that are often found in fabrics and dyes.

Designed by Moms Our design team knows how difficult dressing a growing Bean can be. We design our clothes to foster independence, allowing Beans to play and grow in comfort and style. Check out the Anatomy of a Bean (page 12 & 13) to see all the feature and bean-efits. Our product is play tested by our staff of busy moms and their playful Beans.

Peekaboo Beans’ Play Maven, Andrea Chatwin Peekaboo Beans has partnered with child development specialist, educator and therapist Andrea Chatwin, MA, CCC to help support us on our playful journey. Andrea is passionate about seeing children reach their optimal potential physically, emotionally, spiritually and psychologically. She has a strong background in early childhood development and delivers workshops and lectures to parents and professionals. Her teachings and therapeutic approaches are based on a belief of the importance of both play and the parent-child relationship. Andrea is thrilled to partner with Peekaboo Beans and support their passion for play as one of the key components to a child’s healthy development.
