News for the Residents of Hidden Glen

Message From the Board The Annual Meeting of the Homeowners Association for Hidden Glen has been set for Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church at the corner of North Mays and US Highway 79. We will use the same format as with previous meetings, an informal question and answer session followed by the official business meeting. 6:30 – 7:30 PM Q&A with Goodwin and the Board of Directors 7:30 – 8:30 PM HOA Meeting and Election of the Expiring Director Position We will be in the same room as in the past, Building 5, Room 127. If you enter the doors directly behind the bank drive-through, the room will be immediately on your left. Because of the limited space, no children please. All homeowners are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to ask questions in an open forum with the Board, the Committee Chairs, the HOA management company, and your neighbors all in attendance. If we don’t immediately know the answer, we’ll find out – you may even see the topic covered in a future newsletter. It’s also a great opportunity to find out what is happening in the various committees to see where you can get involved. In addition, the board needs your input to ensure we are representing the interests of the neighborhood as a whole, not just a vocal minority. We all do our best to separate our personal preferences from the decision-making process, but it’s always beneficial to hear what you perceive to be the highest priority needs of the community. Also at the meeting we will elect someone to fill the expiring Board position. If you are interested in running or nominating someone, please provide that person’s name to Marilyn Childress or one of the current Board members prior to the meeting. In some cases, the Rules and CCRs are silent or vague on a particular subject. In those instances, the ARC members make their determination as to what best serves the resident and the community and then codifies those decisions in the (Continued on Page 2) Copyright © 2011 Peel, Inc.

AUTUMN GARAGE SALE It is time (again) to clean out attics, garages and closet and get rid of your unappreciated “treasures” that someone else may covet. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 12 from 8:00 to noon for the Wood Glen/Hidden Glen Autumn Garage Sale. This Autumn›s Garage Sale is in conjunction with our neighbors in Wood Glen that it should drive additional traffic. Our sponsor this spring is Cynthia Maguire with RE/MAX Capital City. Please email her at cynthia.maguire@ sbcglobal.net should you have any questions. Cynthia will be providing signage for both neighborhoods at the entrance of the subdivisions several days before the sale to advertise the event. In addition, she will be placing ads in the Austin American Statesman and the Round Rock Leader.
