PRESIDENT’S CORNER

Happy Autumn

Now that Autumn is officially here, we are finally enjoying some cooler temperatures, but we are still dealing with extreme drought conditions. We want to remind everyone to be mindful of any and all watering restrictions that may be in place. If you are unsure as to the current restrictions Chandler Creek may be under, please contact the City of Round Rock at 512-218-5400. While we are all aware of that most famous November holiday, Thanksgiving, there is another holiday that I’d like to remind everyone of: Veterans Day (Friday, November 11, 2011). This is the perfect time to honor all veterans…those who are currently serving and those who have served. A national holiday honoring all veterans was signed into law by President Dwight Eisenhower on May 26, 1954. Congress amended this act on June 1, 1954, making the holiday known as “Veterans Day”. On behalf of the Directors and the Executive Committee, I’d like to take this opportunity to send a big “Thank You” to all of our Chandler Creek veterans. Your service to the United States is appreciated!

In Other News…

Chandler Creek HOA has a new community manager at Alliance Association Mgmt: Mr. Ed Wallen. Ed recently took over as community manager after Stacey Pye left Alliance to pursue other opportunities. Ed is highly qualified and the Chandler Creek Directors and Executive Committee are looking forward to working with Ed. Ed can be reached at ewallen@allianceonline.net. Please do not hesitate to reach out to him if you have any concerns regarding Chandler Creek. We are currently in the process of finalizing the budget for 2012. As soon as the budget is complete, a copy will be mailed to all homeowners and will be presented at the quarterly meeting, which will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Community Room at the Williamson County Jester Annex. Additionally, the annual statements for HOA assessments are tentatively scheduled to be mailed the first full week in December. Now is the best time to make sure that Alliance has your correct mailing address, especially if you are a non-resident owner. Again, we hope that you find these newsletters helpful. We also welcome your feedback and suggestions for the types of information you would like to see. Comments and suggestions can be sent to chandlercreek@gmail.com. Happy Veteran’s Day to all of our veterans! We also hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Woody, HOA President (whitten.cchoa@gmail.com) Copyright © 2011 Peel, Inc.

HOMEOWNER HOMEWORK

Meet The Neighbors!

This year is just flying by and November is already here! We want to encourage every homeowner or renter living here in Chandler Creek to get into the Spirit of the Season and dust off those awesome Holiday decorations! With our homeowners’ creative minds, it will be easy to “Bring the Holidays Home” to Chandler Creek. Remember to take special care with outside lighting. Ensure that all lights and extension cords are specifically rated for outdoor use, are in good working order, have no frayed cords or broken bulbs, and are securely affixed to your home or yard decorations with insulated staples. The Yard of the Month (YOTM) committee is looking forward to selecting the winners of the annual Best Decorated Yard contest! Speaking of the YOTM Committee: YOTM Volunteer Needed! We have an urgent need for someone to volunteer to be on the Yard of the Month selection committee. If you are interested, please contact us at chandlercreek@gmail. com or call Alliance (347-2888) and ask for our community manager, Ed Wallen. We would also like to give a big thank you to Kimberly Avery, who recently stepped aside from the committee, after serving for several years. We would also like to recognize our current committee members: Diane Barnes, Lily Metcalfe and Sharie Stocklin! These ladies have done a great job volunteering their time and efforts to select the Chandler Creek YOTM winners! Chandler Creek Chronicle - November 2011
