Dear Neighbors: My name is Sam Taylor and I have been elected President of the Cherry Creek on Brodie Lane Neighborhood Association. This is new ground for me and I welcome any input from the residents on the direction you would like the Board to take. The Board is giving me excellent support and guidance and we will be setting a schedule for regular meetings soon so interested residents can attend and give us input. Our Board in the past has done an excellent job and I am looking forward to continuing on the same path. I would like to increase our membership. Those members that know neighbors who are not members could pass along that our dues pay for the upkeep of our entrance, National Night Out block parties, and 4th of July parade for the kids in our neighborhood. The dues, $60 a year (about a Starbucks coffee once a month) keeps your property values up with a beautiful entrance and some activities for our kids in July. Talk up the benefits with your neighbors and see if you can do a little recruiting. We have had some petty thefts in the neighborhood recently and I am looking into setting up a Neighborhood Watch information meeting in the near future. I would appreciate some feedback on how many residents would like to attend so we could pick a location near for a number to attend and get a representative from the police department to inform us on any new developments and tips to make us more aware of suspicious activities. I will keep the Board and you informed on the progress. Thank you and I am looking forward to representing you. Sincerely, Sam Taylor, President
