Keep The HOA Posted
The HOA would like to make a few requests of the residents here in Chandler Creek in light of some incidents that have occurred this summer and in recent months. First, please respect and follow the posted rules for the pool/park area, tennis courts and other amenities. These rules are in place to protect residents and guests from harm and to protect community property from damages. If you need reminders of what the rules are, they may be found at: http://community.associawebsites.com/sites/ ChandlerCreekHOA/Pages/Amenities.aspx If you see or notice someone behaving in a manner that is against the posted rules of the community or who damages HOA property (even if in an accident) please report it immediately to the management company, Alliance Association Management, at (512) 347-2888. We can only fix the things we know about. This year has been a costly one for the HOA with repairing damages, and we certainly prefer that those who cause property damage are held accountable so that the cost of repairs do not have to come out of the HOA dues. Additionally, if there is a mechanical breakdown or other type of failure of any community property the HOA wants to be notified as soon as possible so that the problem can be fixed and our residents may enjoy our amenities. Some examples would include: broken/non-working toilets at the pool, damaged underwater pool lights, shredded vegetation due to automobile accidents, non-working water fountains, etc. The HOA wants all residents and guests to be able to enjoy our community comfortably and safely.

Tell Us All About It! If you have an announcement, short story, article, or column you would like to see in the Chandler Creek Chronicle, please let us know at chandlercreek@gmail.com. Since the size of our newsletter is dependent on how many advertisements are sold by Peel, Inc. (the publisher of the Chandler Creek Chronicle), there is no guarantee that any article submitted will be able to be included in a specific month, but the HOA promises to do all it can to include items from around the community! Deadline for submission is the 10th of each month at noon.
Making Changes to the Outside of your Home? Have you decided that now is the time to paint your home, or add siding, a new fence, shutters, a deck, patio, or pergola? If so, the following guidelines will be of some assistance to you. 1.Read the Design Guidelines The Design Guidelines, as well as other legally binding documents, are provided to homeowners prior to closing on a house. Please read the guidelines and application requirements carefully before submitting your application. 2.Submit an Application Submit your application, along with any other required documentation to the management company. Please allow the allotted time period for your application to be reviewed. Incomplete information only delays your project. 3.ACC Review The Architectural Control Committee will review your application and perform any site inspections outlined in the association documents. You will be contacted if the ACC has questions or if there are problems with your request. Note - the ACC enforces community guidelines but it is up to you to make sure you meet local permit requirements. 4.Approval or Rejection You will be notified of the approval or rejection of your request. If you have questions about the disposition, please contact your community manager. For an application, please contact Alliance Association Management at 512-347-2888. Kim's
Cooking Corner No-Bake Cheesecake It is still hot so hot out there, that I really hate to turn on the oven! That being said, there are still times that a quick and yummy dessert is needed for a potluck, shower, or family get together. This easy cheesecake recipe is a winner and can be changed to suit different tastes. •8 oz cream cheese, softened (Do not use low-fat or no-fat cream cheese) •1 small can sweetened condensed milk •1 tsp vanilla •1/3 cup lemon juice (I use less) •1 9-inch graham cracker crust •Fruit pie filling (for topping) (I like cherry) DIRECTIONS:
In medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add in the sweetened condensed milk and blend thoroughly. Stir in lemon juice and vanilla. Pour into pie crust, chill 2 hours. Top with fruit topping after chilling.

Round Rock Citizen Police Academy
The Round Rock Police Department is now accepting applications for our 24th Citizen Police Academy (CPA) scheduled to begin on September 11, 2012. The Round Rock CPA is an 11-week program that gives community members opportunities to experience some of the first-hand realities of life as a police officer. The Citizen Police Academy class is free for anyone interested in attending. This is one of many continued efforts to develop citizen awareness and understanding of the role of law enforcement. Contact Officer Claypool: jclaypool@roundrocktexas.gov for information about the upcoming academy
