THE FENCE PROGRAM There have been a lot of questions coming in about the fences. We have had trouble getting into a smooth rhythm with the installations, but hopefully a little information might shed a little light on the subject. The material is available and it will be the lighter color that has recently been installed on O’Connor Drive. One section was down for about five weeks. We had already taken down the fence and set some posts in the hope of moving more quickly. Then we switched suppliers and the materials didn’t come in on time. We apologize for that and it won’t happen again. THE PLAN OK, so what’s next? The plan is to finish the O’Connor section and then install fencing at both the Pepper Rock and the O’Connor ends of Great Oaks. The Pepper Rock section was started so that we would not interfere with the start of the school year by blocking traffic. The fence contractor will be leaving a note and/ or knocking on doors to notify the homeowners as they approach each property. We are all very aware that the yards cannot be left open for very long….. The Board is trying to complete the fence installation ASAP which is most likely going to be mid to late September. We are very sorry for the delay and we are trying to stay on schedule……and not at the expense of the homeowners. The cap is still $15.00 per linear foot. The HOA’s costs will be increasing due to some unforeseen problems, but again we don’t anticipate passing those increases along to the homeowners. We are thankful to those people who’ve given us input. We can work out the glitches if we all work together.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2012 11 AM TO 6 PM AT CAT HOLLOW PARK Our Mission: To provide an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations and individual volunteers to raise funds that will serve our community. Over 5,000 participants will come out to enjoy the festivities and support local nonprofits. 18th Annual Hairy Man Festival - Saturday, September 29th Each year, the festival raises about $40,000 in food and cash donations to help local children and families in need. The net proceeds from the Hairy Man Festival are donated to local food banks (Round Rock Serving Center and St. Vincent de Paul) as well as multiple local nonprofit organizations. Proceeds will also benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). The mission of CASA is to be a voice for abused or neglected children through the power of volunteer advocacy and changes in the child protection system. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and speak up for abused and neglected children. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer is the one constant in their lives - and often the one adult who cares only for them. www.texascasa.org. The family fun-centered event raises money for many local charities, and offers a full day of food, arts & crafts shopping gallery, children’s activities, and live entertainment all day. Admission to the festival is two non-perishable food items or $2 per person to go to local food banks. This event is sponsored by The Brushy Creek Women’s Association.
