Annual RaBC Holiday Lights Contest So, are you into moving reindeer and waving Santa’s? Or are you they type to put no less that 500,000 lights on your house? Either way, we have 6 awards up for grabs for this year’s Holiday Lights Contest! It gets a little competitive here in the good ole Ranch at Brushy Creek. Don’t be the only house on your block not to decorate! Pull out your strings of lights, drag Santa down from the attic and plan early...our contest will be a week earlier this year. Winners will be announced at our Annual Event the “Tour of Lights” on December 9th. You do not need to be present to win. You will receive a sign to be placed in your yard for bragging rights and this year we will have prizes for the winners. Have fun...let the decorating begin!! Fit Happens
in the Ranch at Brushy Creek Huge thank you to all those who made the first annual Fit Happens 5K and Health & Wellness Expo at the Ranch at Brushy Creek a success! We had over 200 neighbors participate in the event through running, walking and volunteering at water stops. For several folks it was their very first 5K event—congratulations RBC on making fit happen in our neighborhood! Thanks to the race committee members who worked hard to make this event possible: Mae Coffman, Lori Koniski, Heidi MacInnis, Deanna Mateo-Mih, Jenny McGowen, Robyn Rogers, Patti Salzman, and Lauren Walz. Thayne Coffman, Leslie Proctor, Matt Proctor, Eric Salzman, Pat Walz were also instrumental in their help on the day of the race. Big thanks also go out to Anthony Duong for taking photos during the event to immortalize the day! We had 26 businesses sponsor this event through vendor booths, give-aways for swag bags, and donated raffle items. This enabled us to cover the cost of putting on the event and provided over a third of the participants with raffle prizes!
