BOARD REPORT You may have seen in the Feb 5th edition of the Austin Statesman the City of Cedar Park’s Notice of Intent regarding the voluntary annexation of Bella Vista. The City of Cedar Park is proposing voluntary limited purpose annexation of the Twin Creeks and Bella Vista neighborhoods which would be submitted through bracketed legislation in the 83rd Regular Session with cooperation from the Travis County Emergency Services District 14. A timeline for the efforts has been discussed with the Bella Vista board and if the legislation passes, the annexation could become effective December 2013. The benefits of the proposed annexation will be to receive City services such as Fire, Police, Code, Animal Control, Street Maintenance, and Parks & Recreation. The Bella Vista board is working through the details with the City regarding the impact on our tax rate and the future roles of the MUD and HOA. If you have any questions regarding the proposed annexation please contact any of the Board members. We will provide more details in future editions and at the annual meeting in May. Please review the enclosed draft policy regarding Home Based Businesses and provide any input to the Board. Monthly Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month and a notice will be posted on the Bella Vista website with the location at least 3 days before the meeting. If you would like to receive an email of the meeting notice, please register on the Bella Vista website under “email bulletins.” Sincerely, Bella Vista HOA Board of Directors
