Meet Your HOA Board! My name is Mark Ayotte and I am one of your Meadows HOA board members. My family and I have lived in the Meadows for fourteen years and love it! This is my second time to serve on the board. The first was about eight years ago and I rejoined in 2012. I also serve as the Meadows representative on the Brushy Creek MUD Parks Committee. My wife and I have four children, two of whom still live with us and are in high school. When I’m not working on my internet business I am either volunteering at a local food pantry, spending time with the family or playing softball.

This is common in babies and young children. -Adenovirus, which can cause respiratory problems.

Meadows of Brushy Creek Spicewood Arts Society’s ‘Season Capriccio” Serves up Concerts, Festival of Fine Art, Art Treks SAS’ Community Outreach enhances area performing, visual & literary arts SPICEWOOD, TX (May 15, 2013) – It’s only natural that the Spicewood Arts Society is branding its new 2013-2014 “Season Capriccio.” After all, the nonprofit group shares the same attributes with the musical term: quick, improvisational and spirited. “We’ve planned another irresistible itinerary of concerts for our new season,” confirmed Martha Norwood, outgoing president of the 13-year-old, nonprofit arts organization whose motto is: “The Home for the Arts in the Hill Country.” In addition to six regular concerts featuring a broad range of musical artists, the Society is offering its autumn Arts Round-up (Oct. 19-20); a “bonus performance” featuring popular pianist Doug Montgomery on Nov. 15; a fabulous Fourth Annual February Fundraiser for scholarships, and four adventurous Art Treks throughout the year. “This past season (“Accelerando”) was about stepping up our visibility, our credibility and our community involvement,” Norwood emphasized. “Thanks to our more than 225 loyal members, our generous sponsors and our timely advertisers, we achieved those goals and more. “With the prospect of their renewed participation and commitment, we will continue to excel and to exceed expectations,” she emphasized. “Indeed, we are rapidly closing in on another sold-out season.” SAS concerts, typically high energy and high enjoyment, will include: • Fri., Sept. 20: Singer-songwriter john Arthur martinez of Marble Falls brings his heartfelt ballads, vocals and lyrics sung in Spanish as easily as English. • Fri., Nov. 8: Mingo Fishtrap, the Austin soul/funk band delivers a mash-up of melodic pop and Memphis soul with a twist of N’awlins funk. • Sat., Jan. 18, 2014: Shake, Rattle and Roll is an all-female group from East Texas that keeps the crowd entertained with Doo Wop ditties, vocal harmonies, synchronized moves, hula hooping skills and comedy. • Fri., Mar. 7: The globe-girdling Texas Guitar Quartet – Isaac Bustos, Jonathan Dotson, Alejandro Montiel, Joseph Williams II – is a talented ensemble dedicated to passionately presenting chamber music of the highest quality. • Fri., April 11: High energy pianist Matt Wilson and Band typically have audience members on their feet, clapping, dancing and singing along to a wide array of captivating musical styles. • Fri., May 2: The Motheral Family 4th Annual Tony Campise Jazz Concert features Texas-born pianist and blues-man James Polk and Count Basie’s former featured vocalist Carmen Bradford in tribute performances to the late and legendary Austin jazz artist. In a change of itinerary, all performances this season will begin at 7 p.m. at the Spicewood Vineyards Event Center (1419 Burnet CR 409), about 35 miles from Downtown Austin and three miles off Texas Hwy. 71. Season tickets, sold on a first-come basis, are the only way to assure a place at the 225-seat venue. FESTIVAL, FUNDRAISER, ART TREKS

The 10th Annual Arts Round-up: Festival of Fine Arts returns this fall to the La Cabana Grille’s peaceful oak grove at TX Hwy. 71 and Reimers Road. Round-up is a juried show featuring visual artists from Central Texas and beyond as well as live music. Artist’s applications can be accessed at http://www. zapplication.org/. The “bonus concert,” featuring classical pianist Doug Montgomery on Fri., Nov. 15, will be priced separately at $50 per person. His magnetic personality and popular stylings played to a sold-out SAS concert in November 2011 with 70 persons on a waiting list before the list was closed. The “Sentimental Journey” Scholarship Fundraiser, will be Sat., Feb. 8 at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls. The event will feature music of the Big Bands of the Fabulous ‘40s with the new location offering plenty of space to dance. Proceeds fund six art scholarships to seniors at Marble Falls and Lake Travis High Schools.
