Slow Cooker BBQ Pork INGREDIENTS
1 (14 oz.) can beef broth 1 ½ cups coca cola 2 – 3 lb. pork butt or shoulder roast ½ sweet yellow onion, chopped 1 tsp. garlic, minced Olive oil or vegetable oil 1 (18 oz.) bottle BBQ sauce DIRECTIONS Heat a small amount of oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat and sear pork on all sides until browned, about 4-6 minutes. Place pork roast into slow cooker and pour beef broth and coca cola over roast. Add onion and garlic to slow cooker. Cook on Low setting for 8-9 hours.
Remove meat and shred with two forks. Drain most of liquid from slow cooker and return meat. Add BBQ sauce to slow cooker. Serve on Hoagie rolls, sourdough buns or Hawaiian bread rolls. Prairie On The Creek - September 2013
