Langham Creek FFA Craft Show The 18th Annual Langham Creek FFA Craft Show is November 9th & 10th at the Cy-Fair ISD Exhibit Center at Telge/Hwy 290.

The indoor facility will have over 100 vendors selling a wide variety of products just in time for holiday shopping.

We will have concessions, silent auction & raffle, chicken bingo and more!

Langham Creek High School Bailadora News BAILADORA RUMMAGE SALE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH, 7 AM – 3:00 PM You won’t find a bigger garage sale. Over 40 families in one place at one time! There will be a lot of BARGAINS at this once-a-year treasure hunt including clothing, shoes, furniture and household items. These bargains can be found at the Family of Faith Church parking lot (16710 FM 529 ) on October 26th from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

BAILADORA SPAGHETTI DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH, 5 PM – 9 PM Mark your calendars for an evening to remember. The Bailadora Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Saturday, November 16th from 5 PM – 9 PM at LCHS in the Commons.

The public is invited to enjoy a tasty spaghetti dinner catered by Carrabba’s, homemade desserts and non-stop entertainment featuring our award-winning drill team and guest performances from local dance studios and schools.

There will also be an outstanding array of auction items including Hotel stays at several well known Hotels, Gift Certificates from local food establishments, tickets to many entertainment events, lots of donated services and other items.

Join us for an evening of great food, fun and festivities. Tickets can be purchased through any Bailadora or at the door. Cost is $5 for entertainment only, $10 for entertainment plus dinner.

CYPRESS FALLS HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR NEWS

Welcome back fellow music lovers!

A new school year is in full swing and joyful sounds fill the air!

Our cce cream social September 5th was a great success as massive amounts of frozen dairy treats were created and consumed. The freshmen were paired up with their big sib, and new friendships began. Laughter filled the commons as interactive gaming went on with an extra scoop of silliness!

Thank you to the booster club for supplying the treats and serving for this wonderful bonding experience.

Our pizza/cookie dough/candy fundraiser is under way. If you missed out, we will have more ways to support us in the future!

Thank you to all that did support us as these funds help in all the activities and extra items needed that often come into play for performances, travel, and the favored Spring Trip!!!

theatre straight from Italy. A big thank you to Terri McCormick for heading up this event. This major fundraising for our choir. There will be a silent auction and we would love to represent your business or service. We are accepting any and all donations for baskets or items of interest to be bid upon. GIRL SCOUTS OF SAN JACINTO COUNCIL Copper Creek Meadows Community

We have been holding Rally Nights at our area schools, and forming new troops. Our new leaders are starting their training, and troops have begun meeting for the new school year. Copper Creek Meadows includes the former Bear Creek, Bluebonnet Meadows and Copper Corners service units, and covers the the following e l e m e n t a r y s c h o o l s : L i e d e r, Metcalf, Wilson, Tipps, Texas Christian School, Birkes, Fiest, Lowery, Horne, Owens, Hairgrove, Kirk, Lee, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Christian Life center Academy. We also include the corresponding middle and high schools.

Don’t forget that many of our most exciting opportunities are available to older girls. We have sailing and equestrian programs, backpacking groups, choirs and dance and drill teams, and much more!

We are continuing to hold Rally Nights: Tuesday, 24 September at Horne Elementary Thursday, 26 September at Owens Elementary Tuesday, 1 October at Hairgrove Elementary Rally nights are when we form new troops and recruit new leaders. Time is from 7pm-8:30 pm. Girls are invited to attend with a parent or guardian. Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5 (must be in kindergarten) through 18. Girls may join at any level, and no previous Scouting experience is required. Home schooled and private school students are always welcome. Membership for Girl Scouts is $15.00 per year- some financial aid is available. Girls will participate in activities while parents learn about the Girl Scout program.

Girl scouting has been building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place- and we’ve been doing it since 1912. A great deal has changed since 1912, and Girl Scouts have made changes in our programs while remaining true to our core values, the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Fall Product sales of candy and nuts are running from Sept. 13 through October 4. Two new items this year are Dark Chocolate Mint Penguins and double chocolate truffles. There are lots of other tasty treats- just to keep you going until the Cookie Sale in January!

Product sales give a girl the chance to learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. It also helps troops fund their activities and helps support our great camps and their varied programs.

What else do Girl Scouts do? They help in their communities in many ways. They may make greeting cards for veterans, collect and shelve food at local food pantries, do face painting at a school carnival, or organize a recycling campaign. There are many, many things to do as Girl Scouts, and many different kinds of Girl Scouts to do them. Some of us act in plays; others build the scenery or make the costumes. Others may write the play or the music, or set up a web page for the production.

We are just starting to plan our calendar of events for the year, but we are looking forward to a good time!
