Your Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors would like to wish you a Happy New Year. With the arrival of the New Year, it is always nice to both look back at some of the things our Community was able to accomplish last year and what look forward to what we have planned for the future. During the past year, we have had to deal with the unexpected and plan for the future. We had to replace several diseased pine trees from the Jones Road entrance, opting to replace these with a hardier Texas Live Oak. Our communication system, One Call Now, has been a huge success, emailing Community information in a rapid fashion. We were able to make much needed updates to the Architectural Review Guidelines, modifying the issues surrounding Basketball goals for one. We also modified the pool hours, which allowed us to keep the pool open more often when the demand was highest. We have installed an excellent camera system in the pool area which we are working towards making web accessible for the community. In October 2013, we held the first ever Willow Pointe Art and Craft show which was well received and something that can be planned for in the future. Finally, we were able to start the initial stages of planning for a Community Building located near the pool area. This year, we look forward to continuing the progress on the community building plans and bringing plans to the Annual Meeting. We also plan to better utilize the Community Website and Facebook to help disseminate information and events to the Community. As always, we are open to suggestions from the Community. If you have ideas for areas of improvement or a specific project, please email us. And please don’t forget that we budget funds for Community activities. If you would be willing to organize an event for the Community, please let us know your idea and we will see if it can be accommodated. Copyright © 2014 Peel, Inc.
